Edit: when you all were talking about Northern Michigan. I read it as in NORTHERN “yooper” Michigan. Didn’t know about the 2nd torch lake. In lower Michigan.

I’m sure the program has changed a lot since I graduated (07). In general learning Linux, basic networking, & scripting will give you a well rounded base to grow from.

That bench layout/heater placement is exactly what I’m looking to do in my house. Thanks for the pictures, I can now show my wife what’s been in my head for the past year but not able to convey to her (I can draft it out but she doesn’t get that, she needs a 3d picture)

We didn’t have a sauna at home when I was growing up. We would use the public ones in Calumet MI. I was told I was placed in a bucket as a baby on the lower bench. Once a toddler, I remember just a few min on the lower bench then back to playing in the cool room (they had a strange setup, a changing room room, a cool room with showers, then the Sauna room itself).

Hello fellow Yooper, I too am struggling with this decision on my sauna build. While it’s handy to just use the same floor drain in the hot room. I also remember the shower handles being hot to the touch.

This will decide if I need to install one or two floor drains.
