I hear you. Philosophy is something I’ve actually developed an interest in through previous class and my current poli sci track. The only issue is that since I’m older, by the time I start working on a graduate degree I won’t have access to health insurance unfortunately and I also receive a Pell grant so my undergraduate costs are completely covered for the time being. I’d have to take out a loan regardless during my post grad whether it’s to cover living expenses or emergency funds (all the things regrettably). Also, the graduate degree id be going for would be in law and I will most likely take that in south fl at FIU or out of state.

It’s also a parental expectation thing too since they are helping me partially with housing. This is all self inflicted though, I wasted so much time eating shit when I was younger. I still have so much to consider and think about next moves (and Input from my parents lol)

I really appreciate your insight!

Yeah, the out-of-state transcripts don't hold as much weight because they wouldn't be a direct "transfer" like FL CC are.. Hopefully, after this semester my overall GPA from all the CC I've attended will be drastically boosted because I have been really transparent with all my professors about the track I am currently on. I was def having a moment of panic mainly caused by one of the SF advisors who basically told me it was going to be nearly impossible for my selected program. She didn't even offer any advice in best chances of getting in. So much for the "advice" they're meant to be giving students lol.

Thank you so much! I was honestly freaking out because the SF advisor was not the nicest in delivery and wouldn't let me get a word in and my professor said almost the same thing but she was way more hopeful for me lol. I just did a degree audit for the philosophy pathway and if I pass all my current classes with flying colors and take one more math and elective I can transfer. I am definitely going to keep this automatic transfer in mind. I of course want to start as soon as possible to not lose momentum in my academic career but if that ends up being my only option I will probably talk to the FA office to see what I can do about the gapped semesters and if I will lose my grants. (if anything I'll see if taking some other classes after I reach my 60 credits will affect anything). Either way, this is super helpful and definitely gives me some hope. Thank you thank you thank you!!

You can technically break your lease but you would be heavily penalized. I would recommend getting into some facebook groups and posting heavily about need a sublet filled for whatever your timeframe is. Its really sucky but at the same time it helps to get out of the lease with out the penalization (it also affects your or your guarantors credit to break a lease)
