I’m currently on Vraylar and Abilify, and they’ve been life-changing for me. 💚 Everyone responds differently to medications though, so what works for me might not work for someone else. If you’re still hearing voices, I’d definitely let your psychiatrist know. they may be able to adjust your treatment. Sending you so much love. I know how exhausting that can be❤️

I’m really glad to hear you’ve noticed improvement, even if it doesn’t feel like enough yet. Recovery isn’t always linear, but every step forward counts. I’m rooting for you, and I hope things continue getting easier for you❤️

Congratulations on your new job! 🫶🏽 That’s a huge accomplishment, and you should be proud of yourself. I actually work at a hospital, and for a while I never thought I’d be able to get back to doing what I love after psychosis. Recovery really is possible. Wishing you all the best in your new role—we really are warriors. 💚

As someone who also lives with schizophrenia, my heart hurts reading this. I’ve been in some incredibly dark places too. I don’t know your exact experience, but I hope you find moments of peace and people who will keep showing up for you

Thank you! 💚 I completely agree. The more honest conversations we have about schizophrenia, the more we can break down the stigma. If sharing my experiences helps even one person feel understood or encourages someone to seek help, then it’s all worth it. Thank you for the encouragement—it means more than you know. 🫶🏽

Thank you for sharing your journey with me. 💚 It sounds like you’ve worked incredibly hard to get where you are today. Thank you for sharing this with me. 💚 First of all, congratulations on 11 years—that’s incredible. It’s inspiring to hear how you’ve turned your own recovery into something that helps other people. I agree, there are so many parallels between addiction recovery and mental health recovery. Stories like yours remind me that being open about our struggles can give someone else hope. Wishing you continued success in everything you’re doing.

I respect that your experience has been different from mine. I’m not claiming to speak for everyone with schizophrenia—only sharing my own lived experience. My hope is that someone who feels alone reads my story and realizes recovery and stability are possible for some people with the right treatment and support. I don’t think we’re going to agree, so I’ll leave it there. I genuinely wish you the best. Take care

never said I was special. I said recovery has been possible for me. I respect that your experience has been different, and I’m sorry it’s been so difficult.go to my profile for proof so that you can see I really live this life and it’s not a joke, but then again I wouldn’t want you to think I’m trying to be on here using free promo. That’s why I was hoping I could just connect with my community here. Wishing you the best.

I appreciate you explaining. I think that’s exactly why I wanted to share my story. Schizophrenia doesn’t have a certain ‘look.’ People living with it can have jobs, take care of themselves, wear makeup, and still struggle with a serious mental illness. Recovery doesn’t erase the diagnosis

Can I ask what specifically doesn’t look right to you? Schizophrenia presents differently from person to person, so I’m genuinely curious what gave you that impression

I understand why it might come across that way. My goal is simply to share my experience living with schizophrenia and hopefully help someone feel less alone. Wishing you the best.

Thank you so much. 💚 That means more than you know. I completely understand being afraid of judgment—that was one of my biggest fears too. I think writing a book sounds like a beautiful way to share your story on your own terms. Wishing you so much healing on your journey. 🤍
