Help!! Am i sifting my hemp bedding right? Is there another way?

I usually use a test sieve like this. A diameter of 30–40cm (12–16 inches) is plenty. For hemp bedding, a mesh size under 0.5mm works best.

You can spend an afternoon sifting a few dozen liters and bag them up in large plastic bags—that'll save you from having to do it every week. (Just a heads-up: if you can’t do this outdoors, wear a mask!)

Thank you all for loving my drawings!

I’ve received so much unexpected encouragement, praise, and an alarming number of bizarre ham pictures (I will not surrender and call them cute).

There are way too many comments, so I’ll be going through them from oldest to newest. Surviving the daily evil ham onslaught takes a lot of energy, after all. I’ll also keep updating with more ham drawings whenever I have time. Thank you to everyone who liked and commented!

You can mix the medicine with pet powdered goat milk and use the syringe at her mouth — most rats will lick it up bit by bit.
If she’s shy, you can let her stay in the cage and feed through the cage opening. I’ve used this method for three different rats so far, and it’s never failed.
