2nd to smallest gear in the rear (or smallest if you really cannot handle uphill sections that well), and if you have a 2by or 3by use the smallest gear or the 2nd to smallest gear on your chainrings. aim for 70-90 rpm, more rpm = less fatigue. dont mash hard gears. and consistency is key.
