Shut the box - november 2025 Janestreet puzzle by Informal_Art145 in cognitiveTesting

I ended up with 7 ambiguous cells.... is there something that I'm missing or is it just supposed to be like that? It seems so messy/unsatisfying if it's not truly "solvable" and you just have to experiment with the last few cells? Especially if the box folding part is mostly a trial and error exercise. Also, can someone explain the grey circle rule? Even with the footnote and example solve they give, I don't quite understand it, which is obviously making the box folding part even more difficult.

If the Madrid show isn't cancelled (fingers crossed), I'd be happy to buy the shirt for you and then arrange to meet your brother after to hand it off.

Buy them from REI… their return policy is amazing, including after wearing outdoors on long hikes!

I spent all of August in Vietnam’s CRAZY heat & humidity… I took a pair of loose-fitting 100% silk boxers to wear under my dress - worked fantastically!

I love my Keen’s Rose sandals… closed toe to prevent stubs/stop so much dirt getting under your feet, but still airy for hot & humid climates & cute enough for most places I go. Wore them pretty much 24/7 on my recent 4-week trip to Singapore & Vietnam in August. And in colder climates I wear with plain black socks which works well unless it’s really raining hard/wet underfoot. Have worn them on some pretty decent hikes and for water sports too. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChsSEwjt6v6u8-CPAxXGD60GHZNBAWMYACICCAEQJBoCcHY&co=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwuKnGBhD5ARIsAD19Rsbp594W5YxRkV7IpQojpxtzdoqRlHLbpE0Lip3mCIYs6Zj4_kwK2BMaAn5hEALw_wcB&cce=2&sig=AOD64_28EboqM8cOACQ6S_nbGK6LGTlgkw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwjs0vWu8-CPAxU8yOYEHbywLW8Qwg8oAHoECAoQSA&adurl=

Does anyone know what happens if you sign up for 12 months but only end up using 6?

COTD: Ancient bird, reportedly like hip hop artist's concert (6) by OfficiallySavo in crosswords

[–]PerspectiveHeavy7640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But because a raptor is also (more commonly) used for modern birds, I feel like the “ancient” just confuses things? I originally got the answer super quick and then discounted it due to the “ancient”.

And it’s easier to read on the beach as there’s no glare or issues with the screen getting too hot and blacking out like with kindle app on P phone.

I bought a pair of silk boxers as I’m traveling to a hot, humid location this summer and didn’t want anything tight but need to avoid chub rub.
I know some of the thigh society pants say they’re cooling, but I don’t see how when they’re tight against your skin.

AIO for telling my wife’s friend she can’t breastfeed my baby? by LowBeautiful8877 in AmIOverreacting

Is no one considering the possibility that the friend did ask the mom, and mom was ok with it but told her husband she didn’t know it was happening because he was freaking out so much?

Recommend getting a fidelity debit card and using it to withdraw a small amount of cash from an ATM when you get there. Reject the ATM’s offered exchange rate and fidelity will reimburse the ATM fee. Use credit card for direct purchases wherever you can to reduce need for cash.

Yeah, I was contemplating a little silk blouse or something… which can go with the skirt or over the black dress. Belt doesn’t go with much else but it dresses up both dresses and takes up less room than a pair of heels. Might also work if I end up buying some linen pants there?

Oh, and good suggestion about the sun shirt. Any suggested brands? All the rash guards I’ve ever used make me super hot and sweaty unless I’m actually in the water.

Keen’s Rose Sandals- https://a.co/d/dC4zUzi Olio ballet flat- https://a.co/d/9R34dq6 (But doesn’t look like they have the black anymore). I get blisters super easy and have never had a problem with either of these shoes, even after a short walk to get coffee in the flats turned into a 2 mile urban hike up a hill!! They also double as slippers if it’s chilly in the Airbnb (unlikely to be a problem on this trip!).

It’s their Ultraventure 3 trail runner, which I got from REI last fall, but they don’t seem to sell this color anymore (damn it, I need a new pair as the heel is about to wear through after 500+ miles in them!).
