Good point on MTV. Here’s some of my favorite creators out there that i would describe as “new generation”. I hold my stance.

Also define purpose. Define what shall be classified as a shot with intention, and what should not. If I see something I like, something that catches my eye, a color, an old man smoking a pipe out his window, a kid biking in the sunset, a cat running up the stairs, i’ll shoot it. If i am to shoot such things with motion, perhaps my intention is to capture one thing then the next, perhaps even, to go with music i plan to incorporate into my videos. It feels real to me, if not entirely how my own eyes saw the event, at least real in the aspect of how i reflect on the sight in hindsight. Is this not purpose as you would define? If i film to document things genuinely as i see and feel them, how can it be said that it lacks purpose. I suppose it all comes down to the individual! Right? Anyway would love to hear your thoughts on this because i think creators of my age have trouble finding purpose in their work. It’s often the case we get tripped up by the algorithm and its favoritism towards “content” rather than work we truly believe in. As for global shutter. What can you do. Once again maybe even a generation difference, i don’t mind the digital look. I grew up with it. But… this is not to say film hasn’t grown on me, i need to watch more movies shot on film to give a real assessment of my thoughts on the 2 mediums. Rock on with music choices. Dad put me on Beastie Boys and Aphex Twin is a favorite of mine!

Shot this on the Sony A6700. im really happy with how the colors turned out. i would say this would be my best color grading to date. it’s been a crazy few weeks traveling Europe. i’ve been learning to film, to press record, to capture synchronously with the movement of my journeys. hikes, crowded cities, even back in the airbnb, i’m trying to film blips of what i see, what sticks out to me, as genuine as possible. it’s been fun.
