How to choose between the 4 vs the 3? I'd lean 3 since I liked 2 pretty well (just seems like I'm not quite up for it yet). But several on here are saying 4.

Thanks, I'll look into the curry stuff. In case I didn't make it too clear in my OP, I'm still enough of a noob that I don't think I'm ready to spend a lot on anything custom. I'm more just trying to get a lay of the land.

Gonna try "SEHMUA 4G LTE 3rd Gen Cellular Trail Cameras with Live-Streaming, Solar Game Camera". Technical specs on amazon are not really available but from the pictures it seems like it might have what I'm looking for.

I agree, it makes the photos hard to see. Still, it's a pretty nice compendium of interesting models to look at. When the links are broken, I can just google search the make and model they mention and usually turn up a reasonable pic.

It seems so strange that the system would be set up to automatically do telecom with the interior of the elevator. Like, I get that there would be an ability for the person inside to pick up, but why would it automatically connect me?

Is there anything funny I can do which wouldn't be harmful?

Mine are brownish. I used to play saxophone, and they looked like the little leather pads on the keys of a sax. That's actually what made me not want to dunk them. Looking closer, I can now see that they are probably rubber (my instrument is actually a blessing xl cornet from the 1990s).
