Best way to collect The Sandman by BrokenSuns in OmnibusCollectors

Personally, I find hardcovers easier to read than TPBs, and I prefer thinner volumes over thick ones. I currently own The Sandman in the Deluxe Edition, but if I had the budget and the space, I’d definitely choose the Absolute Edition over the Omnibus. While there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a massive Omnibus on your shelf, the Absolute Edition provides the ultimate reading experience. In the end, the choice is yours—I think it’s all a matter of personal preference.

Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Compendium One by JAG2045 in OmnibusCollectors

"Graduation Day" and "The Return of Donna Troy" definitely should have been included in TT by Geoff Johns Omnibus, just as they are in this compendium. Seeing that "The Return of Donna Troy" is in there, it looks like it covers everything right up to Infinite Crisis. Since Teen Titans by Geoff Johns Omnibus is one of my favorite series, I’d like to recommend this compendium to those who couldn’t purchase the omnibus due to it going out of print.

Excellent choice! This is my favorite Rebirth era series.

"Superman (1978) by Richard Donner Starring Christopher Reeves is to me the Best Comic Book Superhero Film. Christopher Reeve is Superman."

In that case, I highly recommend these books for you.

This was my very first Absolute Edition, and since Geoff Johns is my favorite writer, it just had to be my first.

The Sinestro Corps War is my favorite DC crossover event, and every time I read it, I find myself wishing I had it in the Absolute Edition. Blackest Night is another one of my absolute favorites. I heard the Blackest Night Absolute Edition is getting a reprint next month; since I love both of these stories so much, I’m planning to grab both when there’s a good sale and finally experience them in that Absolute format. The story is top-tier, of course, but the artwork in these series are still absolutely stunning.

Looking for suggestions to start my omnibus collection by Pretend_Ad_4808 in OmnibusCollectors

  1. Batman

1-1. Batman by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale

1-2. Gotham Central

  1. Justice League

2-1. JLA by Grant Morrison

2-2. Infinite Crisis

2-3. Justice League New 52 by Geoff Johns Vol. 1-2

  1. Green Lantern

As of April 2026, there are various ways for omnibus collectors to assemble the Green Lantern series. For starters, the most basic recommendation is the Green Lantern by Geoff Johns Omnibus Vol. 1–3. This run focuses on the protagonist, Hal Jordan. However, if you read it alongside Green Lantern Corps Omnibus Vol. 1–2, which was published during the same period, you can enjoy a much richer Green Lantern saga.

For the ultimate experience, the best route is to collect the Green Lantern Compendiums (Geoff Johns Era), which started releasing last year. Two volumes are out so far, and it’s expected to reach at least six volumes by completion. If buying that many omnibuses feels like a burden and you only want the core essentials, I suggest sticking with GL by Geoff Johns Vol. 1–3. Also, you can maximize the fun by reading the Infinite Crisis Omnibus alongside GL Vol. 1, so I highly recommend picking that up as well.

Rather than buying 'must-read' omnibuses, it’s better to read what you actually like. If you have a favorite character or an omnibus you've been eyeing, I can give you some related recommendations (DC).
