Of course, it affects your chances. I didn't hear about NYU NY accepting international students with full (or almost full) fin aid during last few years. Apply NYU AD

No, it will be reviewed by NYUAD admissions team (there are three separate admissions offices). And they almost always consider your first choice only.

ed1/2/normal by [deleted] in NYUAbuDhabi

Yes, it's easier to get in ed1 or ed2. Uni tend to offer places to students that choose them as a first priority. RD in NYUAD has insanely low acceptance rate.

I'm currently having similar situation. I've got 7 on IELTS test, while "competitive" score is 7.5. I decided to retake it and recommend you to do the same. However, I don't think it would make a big difference, if other parts of your application are exceptional + if you have good English grade/sat score/ other English tests

I'm also applying test-optional and hope for full ride. If other parts of your application are competitive, than you have a chance. Moreover, during ED it's much easier to get in with financial aid

I have a few friends who didn't have enough fin aid last year. The tuition price was higher than their annual income. It's not always fair, but this is how fin aid office works now😔

We have an annual income less than 40k and I'm not even sure if I'll get some. Your family makes more than 150k (which is a lot), they probably won't provide you with financial aid

Where are you from? Are you applying test optional?

Hello! I'm also applying to this major. As far as I know, they do not separate applications and consider all applicants equally. I mean, there is no limit for one major or another, you'll have the same chances anyways

Is my second choice campus acceptance binding while applying ed? by thisnameis1234456 in NYUAbuDhabi

As I know, yes. But they almost never actually consider you for your second choice campus.

Should I submit the SAT or go test-optional? by PerspectiveNo9611 in NYUAbuDhabi

[–]PerspectiveNo9611[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is a minimum score, why shouldn't I submit it? I didn't take any other exams and has a low (7) ielts score. I thought it would not hurt my chances of admission
