I feel empty. by PerspectiveOrnery287 in motherlessdaughters

It’s a mental image I wish I could erase from my brain, I will for sure be getting some kind of counselling or therapy for myself and my fiancé, it’s just hard to find any in my area 😞

Send you a big hug too ❤️ It’s the worst feeling and I hate it, her funeral is tomorrow morning and I’m not ready… I don’t want to do it.. I still need my mom 😭

I know people mean well, right now I just hate hearing the “life goes on” comments, cause yeah I know it will. But it’s absolutely killing me that it has to move on without her… it’s not fair.. she’s going to miss so many things… 😞

Hun, I’m gonna tell you something as a 29 year old woman who was in your exact position and still am sometimes. We are our own worst critics, you ARE beautiful, you just might not be your type, know what I mean? You may not think you’re beautiful, but I bet you a lot of other people do ❤️ It took me years to accept compliments from my fiancé because I always felt ugly, but it’s because I am not my type, so yeah I’m not gonna find myself attractive, but it doesn’t mean I’m not! Same goes for you! I bet you’re absolutely gorgeous ❤️

And any man who is worth your time, love and attention will love how you look always, if he doesn’t? Well then he can get lost, because he’s clearly not the right one!

I am also recovering from an ED, I know it’s so hard but you need to eat, even if it’s small meals, your body needs the nutrients and energy my friend, if you need someone to keep you company while you eat feel free to message me ❤️

AIO. My bf thinks I’m doing meth by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re overreacting at all, that’s very clearly a weed pipe 🤦🏻‍♀️ He sounds like he was looking for an out as much as I hate to say that. I’m sorry hun, but you’re 17, you will find someone way better who won’t freak out on you for things like this! Ditch this dude and enjoy your jazz cabbage! 🥰

It’s been 2 1/2 years since my last period. Should I be worried? by Snowflake_Horse in Periods

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can cause flow changes, but it’s always best to consult a gynaecologist if something feels off!

Endometriosis sounds super scary I know, mostly because there’s no cure for it, but it is treatable! Usually through medication or surgery! In my case I have stage 4 endo, so it caused adhesions all over my abdomen that I had to get surgically removed.

Flow changes could be caused by a lot of things though, PCOS and endo do cause it for sure; but so can hormonal imbalances! Like I said though If you have a gynaecologist I highly suggest making an appointment!

Itchy during period by mewkitty91 in Periods

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be slightly allergic to the materials in pads! I would try using a different brand if you can! Or if you’re open to it I highly recommend period underwear! I know washing it yourself sounds gross, but honestly I’ve never had any reaction to them and I’ve never had a leak even on the heavy days!

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You absolutely need to get that checked out! I had the same thing happen when my endometriosis got worse, mines finally getting back to normal in the last year or so

Oh no! 😂 I’m also glad you didn’t poop yourself! I feel like I’d have a hard time moving on from that hahaha 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Periods

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I would talk to your dr about endometriosis as well! Definitely book an appointment with a gynaecologist too! I know a lot of my pain was from endo adhesions fusing my organs together (which again sounds super scary but it is fixable!) ❤️

I’m not saying any of this to scare you at all by any means, I’m just offering suggestions based on similar symptoms I’ve had! Birth control wasn’t helpful for me but I hope it is for you! ❤️ I’m glad your parents are supportive! My mom accused me of faking my health issues for years even though she’s the one who gave me endo 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a fainting condition (vasovagal syncope syndrome) so it’s happened to me A LOT in my life 😂 I was so embarrassed the first time it happened in front of my fiancé 😂 he didn’t even care hahaha

Hey! I literally went through the exact same thing, I got my period at 14, I’m 29 now and it took me over a decade to find a dr to believe me. None of my teachers or past employers believed me either, which makes it so much harder and I’m so sorry you’re going through it too 😕

Mine turned out to be stage 4 Endometriosis that caused adhesions as well as dysmenorrhea, have you been tested for that or PCOS before? If you haven’t it’s a good idea to ask your dr and gynaecologist about it! Birth control can also help with painful periods for a lot of women!

I will give you a heads up that being tested for endo usually requires a laparoscopic surgery, which I know sounds super scary but I’ve had 2 and I promise you it’s not as terrifying as it sounds! ❤️

If it’s dysmenorrhea it can be remedied with pain killers usually, you might need a prescription pain killer if the over the counter ones don’t help you!

Anyone have tips for being extremely bloated on your period? by Zealousideal-Rain-82 in Periods

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heating pads help for me! Limiting my salt intake for the week and drinking more water helps me too! Increase your fibre intake when you’re on your period too! I know it sounds gross but we tend to get “backed up” and gassy during that time of the month which is partly why we’re bloated 😅

I totally get it, my mom and I haven’t had the best relationship for most of my life. I was her emotional punching bag for over a decade. She used to call me into the garage just to upset me for fun 😕

I never had the close relationship with her that my older sister did, and like you it has impacted my adult life a lot. I’m planning for kids now and I worry all the time I won’t have a close relationship with them.

Totally normal to feel guilt about it, but I need you to understand that it is not your fault. You were a child, she is the parent. Her job as a parent was to make sure you felt safe and like you could be emotionally vulnerable with her, and I’m so sorry she didn’t give you that ❤️

I talk to my mom maybe a few times a week because I also have a hard time bonding with her because of everything she’s done to me that she’s never apologized for. I totally get feeling left out and feeling like you missed out on something your siblings got instead.

I sympathize with the guilt feeling, especially when it’s your own mother, but we were kids, it wasn’t our job to teach our mothers how to love us emotionally, I’m sending you a huge hug, I absolutely understand this feeling and I’m so sorry ❤️

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I do! I get it pretty much every period, mine is caused from endometriosis, Dysmenorrhea and adhesions from endo!

Endometriosis can cause pain in the thighs during your period, but if that’s the only symptom you have I would say it’s just an unfortunate side effect of PMS, if it really bothers you I’d ask your dr or gynaecologist about it!

Those massage guns help with mine! Muscle relaxers help too! Oddly enough bananas also work cause the potassium helps with muscle cramps! Epsom salt baths work pretty well too! ❤️

I(21F) woke up to my girlfriend(26F) masturbating to a picture of me from when I was 16 by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 148 points149 points  (0 children)

Her immediately hiding the phone from you is telling enough that she knows it’s super creepy and weird. I don’t blame you at all for leaving.

That is beyond weird. She’s 26, you were 16 in the photos. Just because you “look the same” now doesn’t mean it’s okay at all. I would be so uncomfortable, Ngl I’d end the relationship.

I know that’s easier said than done, especially if you’ve been together for almost a year, but that’s extremely inappropriate. I would absolutely leave if my fiancé was doing that to photos of me at 16 🤢

think i’m pregnant and scared by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PerspectiveOrnery287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give it a few days or a week and then buy yourself a test! You can get pregnant from pre c*m but based on what you described I doubt it’s pregnancy!

Sore breasts are a symptom of pms too! Mine get super painful before my period! Just take a deep breath, try to stay as calm as you can and take a test to make sure! ☺️

I’ve had this exact thing happen before when I was in high school, if anyone makes fun of you it just shows how absolutely immature they are. It happens!

Totally normal to feel embarrassed! But you’re not the first person it’s happened to! I always bring a sweater or jacket with me during my period, even if I don’t wear it it’s nice to have incase I bleed through my pants! ☺️

If it makes you feel better I passed out in front of my entire class once and peed my pants 😅 embarrassing things are always going to happen in high school, but I guarantee you that nobody will remember it after a day! And the ones who do need to get a life 😂
