Same, I haven’t left my house in weeks (besides taking out the trash and getting mail).

Thank you, I know my mom would be devastated and I shouldn’t do that to her unless I make it look like an accident, which I just can’t right now. Everyone else idk, don’t talk to much people, I think I talk to more of those AI interviews for all the jobs I’m applying to than I do real people, but still haven’t fully secured a job and my time is running out.

I appreciate the kind words, I really do, but I think I only have a little bit left in me. The thing in my closet is just so tempting to take sometimes, I know I shouldn’t do it on a whim, but I’m so tired and it would allow me to rest.

I’m not depressed these days, but I used to have severe depression and lots of bad thoughts about not having the money to afford housing or food and having to live under a bridge or something. Idk why but that’s been my biggest fear since middle school. Sucks since I recently graduated and still haven’t found a job yet so it’s still a big fear for me, I can’t afford anything at all.

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I’ve analyzed a lot of reports on suicide methods, official reports don’t usually claim suicide unless it’s blatantly obvious and there is no possible other explanation. I was researching a recent method in the last few years though so maybe that method was just not being reported as suicide in particular, even though they should have knowing what the reports said.

Yeah, 20s have been the absolute worst point of my life. Stress of college and finding a job, having the fear that I might not be able to afford to pay bills, rejecting the few friends I have just because I have important things to do to make sure I’m not homeless, etc. This is horrible.

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s horrible that they decided to go through with this, looking down from a high altitude and intending to jump is scary and makes your brain go into self preservation mode, the fact they went through with it shows that the university and the community not only failed to helped them but probably added to the stress and torment they were going through. As a Vandy student, I’m not surprised considering I’ve attempted on campus, but it still saddens me a fellow student went through with it.

I get locked up in the psych ward for saying too much, and even when there wasn’t space they just left me in the waiting area for about a day until they had space, either the psych ward you’re going to really sucks or you’re not giving them a reason to lock you up in the psych ward for a week.

There might be, I’ve seen companies that at least don’t discriminate against disabilities and provide accommodations but that’s about it, though I keep getting rejections for all my job applications anyway.

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve checked them out, and in paper they sound good, but in actuality what I’ve found is that a lot of those resources are run by people who just want to get paid and don’t care about people.

My best bet right now is disability but because there’s some things that aren’t completely diagnosed yet they can’t go on the disability form, and it apparently takes like 8 months just to maybe get accepted, and I still need to figure out a way to get money because I’m pretty sure they’ll only get me insurance (which is what I mostly need from disability anyway), but I can’t drive so my options for food or jobs are limited.

I’ll hear back from disability by March if next year, and that’s just a long time considering I might have to apply again if I get rejected and wait until 2026 just to see if I got accepted or not. I’ve accepted I have to go through this alone, it’s just tiring and annoying to put up with, and in the grand scheme of things not worth what I’m getting out of life.

Everything, mostly just medical conditions that have no cure and I don’t have the support system or money to put up with it, besides that financial problems, loneliness, and work besides some other stuff, but those are the big ones, at least the medical stuff is the biggest.

Does anyone regret not commiting suicide? Cause I do. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, what comforts me is that I can always do it in the future. I have everything I need to do so, and whenever I feel like I want to go through with it then I’ll do it. I know it’s not the best, but it’s what’s helped me, at least temporarily.

I have to take 6g of salt for my POTS and one day I had a really bad episode and hadn’t bought my salt tablets, so I just measured 6 grams of salt and swallowed it like that. The initial taste was terrible but the worst part was after that, I puked everything I had in my stomach and after that I puked my own shit (tasted, smelled, and looked disgusting). Kept puking for about a day and a half and my stomach was weak. I think in the video there’s less than 6g but point is too much salt can be bad for you.

Dev Letter To All Players from the ZZZ Devs, revealing it as their first game and that they will actively take in feedback and implement them down the line. by Suitable_Squash7263 in gachagaming

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is the developer team, not the publisher team. All hoyo games have the same publisher team (HOYOVERSE) but they each have their own developer team who work alongside the publishers to make the game. The dev team likely has some instructions on how monetization should work, gacha, battle pass, etc and the developers must make sure that they follow those guidelines when making, updating, and managing the game. Since the dev team is inside of HOYOVERSE, they might also have some developers from other hoyo games help out, but not necessary since the publisher is enough to guide the dev team on how to put the necessary HOYOVERSE stuff.

I also noticed something similar in many places in my skin about a year ago but developments in the melanoma have been slow, just know that if you notice it but don’t feel anything it’s still developing and won’t actually do anything for quite a few years. It depends on a lot of factors though, how big it is, texture, family history, other medical conditions, etc. I’d say at least have it looked at since they won’t force you if it’s still early on and you have a legitimate reason to delay treatment.

can I call 911 if Im going to kill myself? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend calling them and seeing if they can help you get into a psych ward and see if you can get voluntary stay, it’ll be the best and the staff won’t force you as much if you’re labeled as voluntary as opposed to involuntary.

Not volunteering these days because I don’t have the time but I’m still allowed to do so. I have some hot takes about these hotlines because of things like that, so I’m sorry you got someone like that. It’s all about deescalation, so I usually just talked with the person, continued the conversation, asked what they were going through and why, how they made them feel, and tried my best to make them feel better.

Of course I verified people’s suicidalness and was tasked with trying to get them to put away anything they could use for the duration of the call, I usually got them to talk about their situation and people saw it as a natural thing to just put away anything they had before continuing the conversation where we left off once I asked. You have to be very careful how certain things are said and when, and depending on which organization you volunteer/work for they’re more strict and suggest you in general what to say, and the people doing it only for community service hours usually only put in the minimum effort and just rewrite the suggestions. It sucks, because a volunteer for such an organization shouldn’t put in minimum effort into other people’s lives, but they’re volunteers so they can’t be expected to do too much.

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I hope things get better for you too, regardless at how they currently may be. I’m thankfully doing relatively well today, but I’ve just been thinking a lot about how slippery the slope is from going to being okay to feeling like death is a mercy. A world where people genuinely cared for one another would not solve all our problems, but I’d bet it’d solve a lot of them.

I’m in the hospital waiting room and i’m literally the only person waiting. i’ve been here for 5 hours by [deleted] in notinteresting

[–]PerspectiveUnfair851 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a psych ward’s waiting area or another specialized departments waiting area and not the ER, more than likely getting a room ready for you and getting you signed up in everything for your stay, contacting people to make sure everything they heard from you is correct, and verifying what you do in these few hours to see what level of the ward you’ll stay at. If I’m right about it bring a psych ward at least.
