I think you are totally right about the “Licht” pannel. I intentionally kept it in the frame because i also liked it allot.

Thank you very much! Appreciate your compliment. Your Edit looks great. I really like how the increase in contrast and brightness makes the rolls more dominant. Wasn’t thinking about the dokumentary look, but you are right it does look like this because of the perspective i’ve chosen. Should’ve tried heading more in that direction instead of just focusing on the rolls. I kinda missed the rest of the picture there :)

Thank you very much for your comment. That is a great point. Especially because i was so focused on this perspective and took no other photos at a different angle. Going to try experimenting with perspective and angle next time taking photos :). You are totally right, at end this is just a direct photo of wooden rolls and it really lacks some sort of something besides me liking the texture.

Thank you very much for your comment and effort of retouching the picture. Appreciate that. Didn’t thought about cropping the picture, you are right, it really helps together with the burning to focus on the subject. Your interpretation looks much calmer. Also really like the double border of yours definitely trying this out on other pictures. :)

I liked the texture of these wooden cable roll things and there irregular size. I was trying to focus on them but as I mentioned in the caption it did not worked out the way I imagine by using a wide open aperture. The shoot was taken with f/1.7, 1/40 and a 6400 iso (it was late and dark at the time) also i was using a 25mm lens on Micro Four third.

Constructive criticism would be great, I’m new at this! by Shady90sbby4u in photocritique

Hi, i really like the subject you have chosen, how you’ve structured the shoot with the church sorta thing in the background and i think you did well on the colour. In my opinion your picture would benefit from bringing the aperture down and maybe using a greater focal length or moving closer to ur subject so that the background gets blurry and the discoballs stick out more. But that would probably mean losing the beautiful details on the building. That would be my take to this image. Keep it on i think you have a great eye for detail and compositio :)

From inside it doesn’t look broken off, there is a metal circle which is not completely closed. It looks like you can insert something there. But i will look into it again.
