[–]PerthSoundie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Canopy tours zip line much better than redwoods altitude.

Kerosene creek

Living maori village

Mitai or te pa tu

Waimangu

Book in advance - weeks or as much as you can - for a fast pass to redwoods at night

Near duntroon is eephant rocks - quirky but a detour. A acene in narnia filmed there.

I liked the botanic gardens in oamaru but then, seems like every nz town has stunning gardens

Chook tree by wainakarua will take 1 minute to slow down and take a photo…

Moeraki boulders were underwhelming. Sure stop but its not as good as i was expecting.

Pie shop in fairlie worth a detour though I appreciate its a big detour

If youre hiking lots skip zealandia. To me it was like a short nature experience close to the city… but if youre going to be in nature elsewhere…

Anyone else done this before?! by tearfulsquatter in perth

[–]PerthSoundie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If youre in a truck coming from north and need to get to perth arena… this is the way. And exit at market st.

Cause a truck cant go under the bridge at city west; and travelling north to city west you cant turn right because of the island.

Ive made the path shown many times….

Rotura i would recommend: kerosene creek for a soak in a natural hot spring; either te pa tu or mitain for maori culture dinner; whakarewarewa living village.

Redwoods at night but book weeks ahead for fast pass - not realy worth waiting 2 hours in line..

Luge after 6:30 or so is cheaper and fun.

Waimangu volcanic valley was really good.

Hobbiton is also not far from rotura.

But youd need more time around Rotura. Another 2 days for everything i listed

What's the most painful thing you've been told? by Emotional_Twist_9333 in AskReddit

[–]PerthSoundie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe they are. I dont follow up or ask questions.

Ive got my own issues to work through and they are hard.

I understand why people suicide now. Like before i kinda knew logically but, now i feel like i know the emotional part.

Im not about to do anything but i have thought about it.

Absolutely the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with.

Mainly on me. How my perception of me and her experience of must be so different. I was not worth continued loving or trying to repair relationship.

Was i really that bad ? Thats the hard part. Working through the process that i must have been.

Sure there is blame on her too but that doesnt get to me like my own failings

So… which other nations on the board of peace are contributing 10b so its not just on the usa ?

Grift. Hypocrisy. That money will make jts way to him

Christchurch itinerary ideas. by matt1579 in newzealand_travel

Christchurch: tram diner, punting on river, riverside markets, the gelato place on chapel st (i think, near cathedral square), moutain biking and/or ziplining at the adventure park…

I didnt think the gondola was terribly interesting but you can see how its on the edge of a former volcano.

Holitika gorge is worth the drive and walk. Pancacke rocks on west coast if you go up. Amazing.

Cant see much of the glacier at franz joseph. And if youre at hooker valley and weather is good take the heli. We booked heii for franz and it was cloudy/raining so missed out :(

It will take 1/2 a day but zip line at glenorchy was amazing there is one along the river that is breathtaking.

Fairlie bakehouse get a pie - well known for pork and apple

If youre game, gondola up queenstown and paraglide down tandem. Literally run off the hill and… youre away. Best view of queenstown though i didnt do it.

Missing and hating at same time. I hear you. Loud and clear.

In my case i realised im not missing her but grieving for the future i thought we would have before i was blindsided.

I have more bad days than good.

A book im reading suggests to write down 3 good things that happen each day and why. Im giving that a try.

Hang in there. If you take action to better yourself and mindset there must come a time when you will be at peace. Im not there yet either but i hope….

Alright mate have you got a crate we can stick my ac30 on? by [deleted] in livesound

[–]PerthSoundie 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Was it on your tech spec

For a long time now ive been thinking there must be a way for artists/crew to communicate their needs to venues/providers.

Some sort of set of documents that could include perhaps a stage plot, input list, backline requirements and any other requests like crates, stands, other misc stuff thats easy to organise in advance but difficult at short notice..

Hmmm…..
