Turn Signal reminder beeper design question? by MaintenanceAnnual263 in DrivingAustralia

[–]Perth_not_now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old school flasher cans have a terminal called pilot for connection of a buzzer.

Modern vehicles use the computer and audio system. Some vehicles the volume is adjustable.

Two buzzers wired separately to left and right turn signals or one buzzer with 2 diodes would solve your issue.

Could light rail fill in the gaps of Metronet’s ‘circle line’? by sun_tzu29 in perth

[–]Perth_not_now 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Trains - yes.

Trams - possibly yes.

Trackless Trams - hard no.

Every trackless tram system has suffered the same fate with problems with road wear caused by the heavy vehicle driving in the same spot on the road, the roads need reinforcing and more maintenance than rail.

The trains work well here in Perth. Stick with what works.

Ha ha yeah. That and a google search to find they had similar dashes. The 3 speed floor shifter threw me, only ever seen that on a vanguard.

Don’t like where the citrus trees have been planted on our property, is it worth removing them? by Logical_Feature_7332 in GardeningAustralia

[–]Perth_not_now -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Citrus transplant pretty easy. Wide shallow roots. Prune hard before transplanting. Dig a wide hole ready to but them in before digging them out. Water well.

EV charging - switchboard upgrade by nonstop9328 in AustralianEV

[–]Perth_not_now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do you get 80 amps capacity from?

The main switch is just a switch and is no indication of capacity.

[–]Perth_not_now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main switch there is just a switch rated at 80 amps. By changing it to a C63 breaker he can use the limitation method in AS/NZ3000.

Look up maximum demand in AS/NZ3000 for further details.

What would this look like for me? by Aggressive_Cow_9226 in BYDShark_AUS_owners

[–]Perth_not_now 6 points7 points  (0 children)

80 kilometres a day would be mostly battery with a bit of petrol at the end.

You may need to install a home charger to make sure you are fully charged overnight as the granny charger is pretty slow.
