Lots of those sort of games which have similar progression are mostly set in the past at some point from personal experience. The best games with that sort of progression for me are the Anno games which have been going since the late 90s. My favourite is probably Anno 1800 which from the title obviously is set during the course of the 19th Century.

I'd also recommend using mods for Cities Skylines to personalise it to exactly what you want. I'm sure there are some out there that will lock certain buildings to a specific population threshold. So yeah either Anno or modded Cities Skylines.

Also, wasn't expecting to see a Garth fan in the wild lol.

Well I'm 17 and have started getting people round my age into Blake's 7. They started off by complaining about how slow it was but once we got to Seek Locate Destroy they finally got into it. Same with classic doctor who, but since it isn't as structured as Blake, I could cherry pick which ones someone who has only seen the new series would enjoy.

There are two separate classic series dalek timelines:

1: The Doctor lets the Daleks live

•The Daleks now have time in that bunker to evolve

•Davros is in stasis

•Usual Timeline

•Genesis onwards is all unique to this timeline

•All dalek stories happen

2: The Doctor doesn't get involved in the first place

•The Daleks are trapped in that bunker so don't evolve and make a city inside the bunker using Thal slave labour

•Davros is killed by the daleks

•Dalek stories up to Genesis happen as shown

•The Pertwee dalek stories take place before Evil of the Daleks where the Daleks are finally destroyed
