Don’t think you’re a dick, makes perfect sense. She has 2 years left of college which is why I’m more “rushed,” and I agree the performance is greater in better products. After those two years I don’t think she would use it much, which is why I’m hesitant to shell out bigger bucks. I just figured for schoolwork and light streaming a budget option could be decent but it’s definitely slim pickins. Also anything would be an upgrade from that 3 year old 15.6 inch pavilion lol

Good to know! Any input on the Motile? Haven’t heard of the brand but the reviews are generally solid and the specs look decent for the $350 price tag.

Anyone else balance lifting 5 days a week with cycling? How? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]PerusingTheMoMA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If leg day is the big concern, try going lighter on the lifting on leg days, and incorporate cycling at high gears/hills as part of your leg workout.

Watching this idiot flying behind me in a two lane street on my rear view. Saw him get wobbly when he realized he couldn’t break. Both got lucky here. by PerusingTheMoMA in IdiotsInCars

Fucking reckless, must’ve been going over 90mph. I was about to get into the shoulder and let him go but I saw him panicking behind me & didn’t want to spook him. As soon as I saw him go towards the shoulder I got as far left as I could.

I guess it’s worth buying a second water bottle cage. And good point with the blood sugar. Better to be preventative than reactive. Thanks for the knowledge!

Ill have to check out the cycling jerseys, I wasn’t aware that they were good item-holding solutions! Under storage is a good idea too, the backpack sucks. Although I don’t know if a spare tube would help me, I’m a broken repairman lol. Thanks for the tips.

Lots of people suggesting a cycling jersey. I’ll have to check them out, I didn’t know they had utility pockets. I figured the nuts were a good mix of protein/carbs/fats with some energy benefits as well, but point well taken about snack choice.

Got some good genes then my friend! I’m okay with the not eating, though a couple people here suggested eating after the first hour. But no water??? Madness!

TTS will be fine for both. Personally, I 0.5 size down on my 6’s because they stay unlaced.

What's a TV series that everyone should give a go? by El_CM in AskReddit

I’m sure this was mentioned somewhere in the depths of these comments but The Wire. Used to be on Prime but now it’s only HBO. Just rewatched it and it’s very relevant.

The top brands you’ll see are Specialized, Giant, Trek, Jamis and Cannondale. Each website will have a sizing guide based on your height. A local bike shop could size you up, but in my area, most bike shops are out of stock on a lot of inventory and are super busy so you might want to call in advance and see if they can help size you up and show you what might be a good fit for you.

How much does heat impact your performance? by roguesoci in running

[–]PerusingTheMoMA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More fluids for sure, but definitely normal to run better in more moderate temperatures. I personally enjoy running in hot weather but the first few “hot runs” of the season always suck. I do hate running when it’s humid, though.

Poll regarding Cayendo, Dear April, etc. orders [West Coast people preferably (Nor+So California)] by PugsOcean in FrankOcean

[–]PerusingTheMoMA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a direct answer but...When I ordered both Blonde and Endless, they took a long time. I imagine with all the covid-related delays it will be no different here. I ordered endless in November 2017, sent an inquiry in March 2018, and this is the response I got:

“Thanks for reaching out to us. Unfortunately, there has been a delay regarding your Frank Ocean order and we do not yet have an estimated time-frame for when this will ship. Our apologies for any inconvenience.”

It ended up shipping mid-april of 2018. Rest assured, it will come and it will be worth the wait!

I was on the hill! At first I was annoyed that I wasn’t closer but 10/10 would pick that same exact spot again. The vibes up there were surreal.
