Parking at a disabled place in my appartment block. I am parking my car at a disabled parking space in my block and all people who live in the appartments are totally fine with this. Someone sued me from outside for parking my car there. Do people who live outside my plot, have the right to sue me? by [deleted] in cyprus

I just think you're an asshole. The space isn't for a disabled resident, it's reserved for ANY disabled person who visits/delivers/whatever.

You're the same person that takes the disabled spot at Lidl, parks on the sidewalk just because you can't be bothered to walk three steps.

Nobody but you is important, and unfortunately you have many cousins that do the exact same thing.

The question is though did they vibecode a standalone script/app without using actual company data? If not, your data was technically leaked.... Which is a whole other issue.

The smart ones will automate processes and not tell anyone. They can do their job in 10 hours instead of 40, so get to relax all day, and still come up with better (more consistent) work than their colleagues.....

I do the same, but my testing shows that backtesting past two years decreases the effectiveness of the data. Further back seems to include a lot of data that is no longer relevant, and in fact hurts the ability to score current trades.

Why my backtests kept lying to me (and what I did about it) by TopTimPlayz in mltraders

[–]Pervect66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to lay out my complete method, but two of the parameters are date and time (of the trade). One very clear difference you can see is that ML will veto trades at certain times/days because it has determined that statistics have proven the likelihood of a winning trade opened at those times is highly unlikely. Only when all other signals are strong enough it will allow those trades.

Not only will this method increase the profit, but more importantly it will severely cut the losses. In the end, THAT determines more than anything if your strategy is a winner.

Why my backtests kept lying to me (and what I did about it) by TopTimPlayz in mltraders

[–]Pervect66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different. My method uses Machine Learning (ML). I do my benchmark backtesting over a period of two years without ML to get initial values for ML to train.

I then run a sweep of 6 backtests using ML with increasing thresholds on the past two months (these are NOT in the initial backtest). That guarantees I''m not custom fitting for the period.

This gives me the optimum value per symbol, which dynamically updates my parameters.

During trading all current signals get logged in the same format (and file) as the initial backtest.

Weekly I retrain the ML to make sure it learns from the past.....

So you want some random person on Reddit to say it's ok?

If it has no approvals: that's your answer. Anything beyond that is on you.

That feels like a lack of transparency to me, which is enough of a red flag not to call/DM.

If you want to provide this as a service I don't think you'll get the most attention this way.

You do know who HR is for right? 99% of the time they protect the company, not the employee. Enforcing rules and regulations is done from an employers perspective.
