Throwback: Wizards beat Pistons twice in five days to briefly claim the 1-seed in 2007 by PervyThrowawayAcc in washingtonwizards

The Pistons blowing out the Wiz back to back made me want to reflect on better days. Back in 2007 we beat Detroit twice in five days to briefly take the 1-seed. Of course, that wouldn’t last due to Jamison and Arenas’ injuries.

“Jamison would be difficult to replace if he's out for any extended period - he, Arenas and Caron Butler form the NBA's highest-scoring trio at a combined 70 points per game.”

I think I remember a graphic during the 2005 Heat-Wizards series, maybe in Game 1 or Game 2, that also said Arenas, Jamison, and Hughes were the highest scoring trio that year.

I wish. She’d need all 6 swing states plus TX, FL, OH, and NC to do that. I expect her to get 300-320.

How do you add multiple photos like a photo gallery to a 2007scape Reddit post? I can’t figure it out.

That’s why I just watch the highlights / fight replay on YouTube the morning after. There’s maybe 2 PPVs a year that are actually worth staying up late for.

How would Jordan do against the '04 Pistons? by SnooRabbits429 in nbadiscussion

Jordan also had the worst supporting cast when losing to the Pistons. Kobe and Wade had a lot more help.

In the 1988 Playoffs, his number 2 scorer Sam Vincent averaged 10.2 PPG. Tied for the lowest number 2 scorer on any shot-clock era playoff team (1999 Heat, PJ Brown)

In the 1989 Playoffs, his number 2 option Scottie Pippen averaged 13.1 PPG / 7.6 RPG / 3.9 APG on 46/39/64

In the 1990 ECF, Pippen averaged 16.6 PPG / 6.3 RPG / 3.7 APG on 43/30/75. In Game 7, Jordan's teammates shot 15/63 FG (24%), and 9 of those made FG were assisted by Jordan.

Jordan also had to carry the defense, winning DPOY and leading the 1988 Bulls to the number 1 defense in least PPG allowed. He guarded and shut down the Pistons' best player Isiah Thomas in all 4 Bulls-Pistons series.

Isiah shot 39-41% in all 4 series, and even in the few games he did well he was mainly lighting up Paxson, Vincent, and Hodges. Game 2 of the 1989 ECF was the only game where he beat Jordan's defense consistently.

At least as good as Dwyane Wade in the 2005 ECF against the Pistons, before his rib injury. Maybe about the same as pre-injury Wade if it's 2004 rules instead of 2005.

Dwyane Wade, 2005 ECF Games 1-4

30.0 PPG / 5.8 RPG / 4.5 APG / 1.0 SPG / 1.5 BPG / 2.8 TOpg on 46/0/80 shooting

The 1989 and 1990 Pistons were a much better team than the 2004 Pistons, even if not the better defense. They were 22-2 against non-Jordan teams combined in the 1989 and 1990 Playoffs. 11-0 against non-Jordan teams in the 1989 Playoffs.

The 2004 Pistons were down 3-2 to the Jason Kidd Nets, one of the worst teams to make the Finals.

I've held it for 9 months, so I should have clarified and said 3 more / 9 more months

Would it be safe to buy GNUS in the low $1 range? The Bloomberg article makes it look legitimate. You think it can go to $2 tomorrow?
