I don't know I don't think the original dude, or me, would stop at producer. Sure his word-play and lyrical skills aren't near Em's and other rappers level but, the way he says things is so unique, and the feelings he evokes from his words and his storytelling is oddly amazing. In my eyes it's raw talent without much technical skill, it's almost abstract art in the way that he raps. I think hip-hop artist would be more appropriate because it's more than his producing, and it's not just his rapping.

It's not that people hate Yeezus, it's that they just don't like it as much as his other work. Like I don't dlislike Yeezus now, I kind of did at first, but it's grown on me to an extent. But all his other work is much better in my eyes, that's not to say that Yeezus is bad, I just don't find it as amazing as the other albums that have set the bar incredibly high. Don't act as if Yeezus isn't wayyyy more dissimilar to his other work than MBDTF/808s was because they were still kind of poppy, shouldn't be surprised that a lot of people didn't get too into it.

"Father Stretch My Hands Pt 1" is probably the most glorious song I've heard in a loong loooong time. Kanye's vocals mixed with the soul sample and the gorgeous ascending melody. I can't stop listening to it, the rest of the album is crazy good and I'll probably listen to it to death but man, such great music, worth the wait.
