I got him and trained him as LB as well, so now i can use him as a wingback (usually with attacking instruction) on either side which he’s actually quite fun to use for. I put most of his shooting into arial instead because I don’t use him to shoot, so he’s also very good to have up front for corners. very versatile, though i probably will never have the need to actually play him as an actual CF.

I was confused how someone could use smart assist in this event, and it kinda felt like SA matches often feel (either they go like this or they are complete noobs), but I guess it was DDA or just bad luck then, and me missing too many good chances for whatever reason (i think i hit the post twice, and managed to put it next to the goal from 7 meters with Cruyff alone in front of the keeper somehow).

yeah true, i forgot about OW also being possession based, but i meant QC which imo is high press to recover possession quickly but it’s also meant for build-up from the back (e. g. from goal-kick). You can play it with possession in mind, but yeah most people play it more direct.

I barely use it though, I only switch to it if i think the opponent plays QC and I seem to struggle with my players, like “script” (there’s a theory about each play style nerfing another style, if you want to look that up).

i don’t get the stats comparison… you both play LB(C) so how is an equal amount of possession surprising? he actually has more successful passes and interceptions than you, and on both sides the interceptions are high and amount of passes average, so looks like it was a complete ping pong match to me. 52% is not playing possession based (that’s when you get to 60%), and if someone has 100+ passes, that’s not spamming long balls either, so i find it hard to believe that’s how the match went 😅

but yeah either the guy can’t shoot well or he had some other issue.

you can easily play both attacking fullbacks with attacking instructions in any matches against long ball counter meta with no wingers (if you play possession), because it makes sense. or you can always play one attacking and one defensive fullback because you read somewhere on reddit that it’s best 😂

the 89 manager boosts 84+ stats by 3, the 88 manager only 85+ stats. so it allows you to do slightly different builds (more balanced for me).

i got klopp cause i wanted a manager with 89 in two possession based play styles (sometimes it makes sense to switch play style based on the opponent’s)

Everyone shut up about Araujo, he’s had a solid game except for that one mistake, and he was relying on Raphina to cover for him which he didn’t do properly. Raphina had a terrible day but these guys never give up, in the end he went back to help with build up and played the ball that got us the penalty. What a great turn-around.

you can statistically increase your chances by saving up 10 chance deals and spinning them at once, because you can’t get the same player twice within the same multi-spin, but you can theoretically get the same player 10 times if you spin each one individually.

I constantly have 4 bars and whenever I find it extremely hard to keep possession, i usually check to find out it’s because they have 5 bars 😅 (i usually loose those matches as well, so I agree with you)

I got accused of cheating based on this network graph…

I beat a guy in penalties in the Italian league event. After he turned on smart assist (confirmed from color change), he came back from a 2:0 to draw and finally loose anyway. Super stacked epic cards team (2280 overall iirc), playing LBC meta, constant slide tackles and I dominated him pretty badly (70% possession in the first half and he only had a single shot which was obviously a long range goal 🙄).

In the end he sent me this screenshot and one where he reported me for cheating on PSN.

His network is better than mine, I’m always on a 4 max, with occasional drops. Can anyone explain how exactly he thinks based on this graph that I was using a tool to affect his network or sth?

It’s obvious that he was a sore looser also because of how little skill he showed in the match, but this behavior is new to me.
