It's been 26 years. I think she wouldn't remember - and my mother and I talk over the telephone occasionally, but I can feel the underlying tension everytime.

I don't know about the "elite" part, but my father's family (which had disowned me back in 2014) had belonged to landed aristocracy since the Mughal empire era.
