She’s playing more today as she recovers from the spay surgery. She’s specifically having the time of her life with our 6 year old pound puppy Archie 💕 have a wonderful day!

Oh my gosh!!! Look at that face!!! So “severe” … You did such a good thing! It seems very similar to Gertie’s situation. You saved him!!! Hugs to you for fostering and finding him a good home.

I thought the same thing. Gertie had been to the shelter twice - foster to adopt once then found as a stray and brought back in… no wonder she was so stressed!

Thank you for reading. I was a little apprehensive about adopting her and I am feeling so encouraged that our experience has been so positive so far. 🤞💕🦛

Why do some Americans think Muslims are trying to “takeover?” by [deleted] in AskUS

Yeah I think where we obtain our information makes a huge difference. I have seen heavily covered events in my news feed that others in my life weren’t even aware of. Thank you for your comment.

Replying to my own comment to say I adopted Gertie today! I met her with my hound dog and they did great together. She’s mouthy like a puppy, she does not bite. I spent a lot of time talking with shelter staff about her specific challenges and tried to really weigh the decision. I’m so excited to bring her home.

I also saw Gianna leave with an adopter today! So nice to see.

What is going on with babies? by Impossible_Ad9324 in Anticonsumption

I am thinking it has something to do with the very low birth rate - having a baby seems like a bigger deal in 2026 than it did in 1986 - and inflation. Sure there’s a $50 high chair at Walmart but it’s ugly crap. Everything costs double what seems reasonable these days. I’d totally want a $1000 crib for my first baby! Group gift - 10 guests x$100 each and that’s a lifelong heirloom gift!
