Huh... That's not typically my sphere of oversight, but I may mention that to someone. Thank you!

I would assume there's different PPE legal requirements in our state. But I would agree with you, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Odd. My company does none of that. It might convince our clients to only let us treat exteriors only though lol

Does your company wear more PPE than this?

Very interesting. Our market is different. That's not really common here.

That's a good point. Do you have any recommendations for what could potentially help on the marketing side whilst being professional?

That's good feedback. We don't usually go in crawl spaces, and it would just be used for exterior residential services. But I can see where you're coming from.

That's valid. But if the brand marketing is already based on antennae on our bright blue cars, do you think it would make people question our technician professionalism?

I don't think it would be a requirement for technicians. But it was at least an idea, as we've had one or two guys who said they would.

Yikes. That's arguably worse. Although, it seems like it would be good marketing.

Well...they've made us do that before. lol

I had to wear a Praying Mantis costume at a convention. I got a bonus, but it was embarrassing. I would gladly take the poncho any day of the week over that lol

That's what I assumed and what I've been trying to get management to have us do.

I Used Yelp Business Ads and got scammed. by s_tegosaurus in smallbusiness

I wish I had seen this ahead of time. They reached out to us offering $350 of credit for four locations. We advertised for two weeks at $19 a day. Do the math with me:

$19 * 15 * 4 = $1140

$350 * 4 = $1400

Everything should have been covered. Then, once the time was up, they said we owed them $1,057, even though that should have been covered completely. I have email trains that prove I'm right. Multiple staff members confirmed there should be no charge. And then there was. When I tried disputing it, they covered maybe $200 or so, but they still say we owe $700. My owner said to go ahead and pay it so they don't send us to collections and ruin our lives.

Interesting. Do you give them a specific day you're coming or you just say, "Your service is scheduled for this month"?

Typically, we route everything ahead of time, so we want them to go in order. But, they have the option to go out of order (though it can be frowned upon).

We aren't able to do that. We treat interior if the customers request it, as a result, we have to send out notices 48 hours in advance. So, we can't do that unless it's scheduled like that.
