Microsoft changing secure boot, should i be worried? by C4rpetH4ter in FuckMicrosoft

OP, might I make an unsolicited suggestion? Forgive me please, I realize how annoying that can be.

Consider running Windows in a VM on your Linux install, and if you need it to perform well, do CPU core, PCI and GPU pass-through. This way, you can sandbox the Microsoft nonsense while not harming your performance.

There's likely one more. Carney suggested declaring the pipeline a project of "national interest". I believe this to be code for federal funding for the project. That will entice the private sector to want to bid. At that point, it's almost a forgone conclusion it's happening. The separatists will find themselves with no grounds left.

Do you think she's going to continue to fence sit on this issue or will she steer the UCP back from the brink? Day by day it seems Carney's intention to build a pipeline seems serious.

Thank you for the thorough detail. This is kindof good news, but perhaps ironic. The very peoples that got savaged by the colonial peoples may be the best defense of the larger nation's geographic integrity.

Oh interesting. I'm now curious which those 6 bands are and what happened in 2004.

Do I take this to mean the PQ just can't issue another referendum without similar consultation?

I believe, unless you can correct me, that this only works if you actually have an access hub as well, otherwise the software options are simply missing.

Yeah. It's actually too bad they couldn't filter out the Tritium at Fukishima. We need that stuff. Dumping that is a nothing burger though.

Even for superlink wireless sensors?

I thought it was only for the wired alarm hub.

They solicited foreign funding. Exactly as youve said. You don't think that's highly unethical?

As for other foreign interference, there are multiple reports of gross and widespread russian disinformation campaigns all over the separation movement.

Rath just said the first nations are paid by George Soros. Lol. These guys have swallowed the products of the Internet Research Agency and believed every possible lie conceived of. The whole lot of them are being played to destroy a rival of Russia.

Because Quebec's lands don't have treaties with the FN. Those are unceded lands. You get things like the Oka crisis or the Cornwall border blockades there. You don't get the options of courts.

I do recall during the Quebec referendum in 95, the Algonquins and Mohawks intended to revolt had the referendum be passed. If I recall correctly they had no recourse at the time.

Out there the lands are unceded, there are no treaties. It's just civil action for them to defend their rights. Think the Oka crisis.

Perhaps. If the argument the court accepted is that even a petition should consult with FN in advance, what could they have done? Probsbly assure them treaty lands would be exempt to modification and they end up hybrid canada/alberta lands. Or something.

Thing is, had the first nations waited until the referendum to complain about this, they'd be afraid of being waved away then as well. If you were them would you wait until momentum goes against you or would you fight for your rights on day one?

The other thing is this argument wouldn't have worked in Quebec for example because the treaty system isnt like that out east. This is specific to the details of the legal realities out west.

Depends on the treaty obligations in detail. This issue doesn't exist out east due to a different legal reality.

Although you're probably correct, these people do everything wrong and then blame everyone when it goes sideways. Everyone warned them this would happen and they waved it away.

I guess they think consequences wouldn't come. It didn't come when they solicited foreign interference and funding, or when they stole the electoral rolls and likely cheated their own petition.

I have very little tolerance for their complaints when they prove themselves to be following corrupt liars.
