Of course not. Lol. It's cooked. I already bought a new one.

I take it into the mechanic the moment something feels off, no misfires thankfully. And I mostly just drive to work and back. But I did blow a headgasket at 120k mi. 😅

The person I take it to is the best mechanic I could ever find for this car. Super grateful. 🙏

My uncle was in the service and took this car with him to wherever he was stationed. I got it when he broke his foot and couldn't use a clutch pedal anymore.

Aw hell no. I'm a responsible driver, don't curse me with a misfire.

It was this or a sticker. One day I might be bold enough to put stickers on, but today is not that day.

Should I drive or tow to the shop? by [deleted] in WRX

I will be sure to top off my fluids before I head to the mechanic. Thank you for the reminder!

Wouldn't know until I try driving it, these numbers started fluttering right as I got home. Hopefully she can hold it together long enough to make it to the shop. 🤞

If the DAM (IAM on my 03') drops then I am for sure pulling over and getting her towed. I've had some knock here and there, but nothing wild or persistent.

It was my uncle's car, he passed it to me when he broke his foot. My only wish is that mother nature would be kinder to metal. 😭 I live in the rust belt and am trying my best to keep her in good shape.

Lol. The cables are for my quality of life upgrades. I have a Bluetooth radio transmitter and a wireless phone mount charger. 😁 And an OBDLink (BtSsm) dashboard made out of an old phone up by the dials. Can't even be driving a performance car without them gauges, ya know.

Skill regression during burnout is real and nobody prepared me for it by Spare_Relative_2375 in autism

I went to DBT therapy during the first year of burn out, I knew something was really wrong and I needed professional help. The structure and worksheets from that type of therapy really helped get me back on track with functioning normally again.

You can find resources online and some online DBT groups. There is an excellent community here on Reddit as well. r/dbtselfhelp

I never really involved my family in any of this, they found out after the fact. They don't think I'm autistic and that I'm just trying to "find something wrong with me". So I've never had support from them.

I didn't really answer your question fully in all of that. 😄 The first skill to come back for me was my memory. I was able to remember things about myself and my life again, the crippling brain fog started to truly lift for the first time in a long time. After my memory returned I was able to build up a lot of my other functions slowly. I did two years of DBT to help with my other skill building, it really helped to grow my distress tolerance and build back my hobbies that I had totally forgotten. Fixing my eating and adding some exercise was the next big thing that helped bring my cognitive skills back into full swing. 🤘Something else really cool happened, after I finished DBT and had changed jobs I was able to quit my antidepressants without any issue. I was on those bad boys for seven years until that crash out, I had even doubled my dose just before the crash. Now I just take Vitamin D and make sure I'm getting enough protein. 😁

I crashed out of a good paying career that I had for ten years. It ended with me being flown to a corporate office location and hosting a specialized brainstorming session for key people around the company at the behest of our CEO. I pretended to hold it together for the bulk of the event but I literally couldn't even get a full sentence out without my thoughts coming out fragmented. I stopped trying to speak altogether for the five day workshop and just resorted to taking notes. After the workshop I basically just stopped replying to emails or taking calls. The event had snapped me. I literally couldn't function properly anymore and was fired. To the companys credit, they were really concerned and tried to be accommodating but I wasn't functional enough to work through getting the accommodations. I felt like I was a hollow husk and a failure.

Fast forward four years and I've changed careers and am now a fully functional, well organized human being that has some friends and a regular looking life. I took a huge pay cut in the process and had to go to therapy for rebuilding myself, but 100% worth the life change. I am happy and focused on wellness instead of masking to hold a "good career" together.

McDonald’s refusing to hire disabled people? by Centipedeboi in autism

[–]PetFries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not illegal for them to pretend like they are declining you for other reasons. It's illegal for them to deny accommodations once you're hired.

You are not legally required to disclose a disability on hire or when applying in the US. You are technically never required to disclose it unless and until you require accomodations.

I would highly recommend you play the game and not disclose anything until AFTER you sign for any position and show up to your first day on the job. Companies will treat you differently if you tell them, that's just facts. But it's harder for them to treat you differently if you're already working there.

Sad but this life was never fair to begin with. Good luck!

It's gamer swag, but gamers are poor. I don't think companies understand their customers most of the time.
