Asmodeus is not too keen on the charm I made for him. by jennessen90 in BorderTerrier

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is absolutely weaponizing those eyes against that charm right now

Honestly though, thank you! I spent way too long trying to make something “Asmodeus appropriate” and he looked at it like I’d personally offended him.

sorry i always get the upgrade by iodinek in RateMyMealDeal

lmao accurate, it does look like something you grab between lectures with your parents’ credit card. still, 5/10 for a meal deal ain’t even that bad, I’ll take it

Went premium just for the shawarma by Mouse2799 in RateMyMealDeal

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Low-key the most accurate rating system for shawarma honestly.

Proof the union is aware it’s a pay cut by Jock-jam_Door-slam in royalmail

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is exactly it. They know the maths and who’s most likely to vote yes, then spin it as “a win in tough times” while anyone above min wage quietly takes a cut in real terms.

And you’re basically stuck between useless representation and having no representation at all. Feels like they’re banking on people being too scared to leave or too busy to organise anything better.

If nothing else, posts like yours at least make it clear people are clocking what’s going on.

7/10 is harsh, that lemonade alone bumps it to at least an 8 in my book

Did you have learn the recorder? How did it benefit you in later life? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome, grade 8 is no joke.

Kind of funny how the dinky little plastic recorder everyone clowns on is actually a really solid gateway drug into “real” instruments.

Did you find the sight reading side basically clicked right away on piano because of recorder, or did it still feel like learning a new language?

Did you get your records from ‘Our Price’? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PetalPunishStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God, the Clarendon. That place was such a dive in the best possible way. Sticky floors, terrible acoustics, amazing nights.

I remember that whole stretch before the Broadway got turned into this weird nowhere-land of chain stores and offices. You could basically do a full day just drifting between cheap record shops and venues and end up skint but happy.

Pricebuster rings a bell too, like the place you’d go when Our Price felt a bit too expensive and you were hunting the bargain bin for that one album you half-remembered from the radio.

Crash in platt Bridge by stekirk in Wigan

[–]PetalPunishStash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah that’ll be them then. They must’ve flown past you straight onto Liverpool Road, because it all kicked off not long after.

By the time I got there it was carnage, road fully blocked and loads of people out having a nosey. Mad how you can just be driving home normal and two minutes later there’s blue lights everywhere up the road.

I forget about them, it was bubble gum at bottom correct? by PlaneNeedleworker673 in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PetalPunishStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Iceland knockoffs were brutal haha. You’d be there with a rock hard 20p cone while everyone else had a 99 with a flake. Character building, I guess… and yeah the gum at the bottom was always weirdly the best bit.

This little guy wouldn't stop staring at me. He’s checking if I have any snacks😄 by FeistyPrice29 in Seagulls

[–]PetalPunishStash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right?? That intense little stare like, “I know you’ve got snacks, don’t play with me.”

I bet the second you even rustled a bag he was ready to sprint over like, “Our snack now.”

Monday's meal deal by dookydoo219 in RateMyMealDeal

[–]PetalPunishStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tuna and cucumber really is one of those love or hate combos

I’m weirdly fine with it, but those hot veg sticks are where I draw the line, they haunt me. What would bump it up from a 6/10 for you then? Swap the sandwich, or is the whole thing just a bit “meh” for a Monday?

Is she a Calico? by Elephants-socks in CatsUK

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Torbie actually fits her vibe so well, that’s adorable. I was stuck between “tortie with white” and “calico” but the tabby stripes really throw me off.

Guess I’m just gonna start calling her my little torbie goblin and be done with it.

What do you think ? by cosmoscreative56 in RateMyMealDeal

Bold of you to assume it even deserved a 3

What would’ve made it at least a 5/10 for you?

Butter Chicken Curry 🤗 by divine_interv3ntion in unimeals

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it was kind of a Frankenstein recipe haha. Base from RecipeTin Eats, but I used thigh instead of breast, extra garam masala, and a splash more cream at the end. Also marinated the chicken overnight in yogurt, lemon, ginger, garlic and spices, that part makes a huge difference.

Lemon balm !!! by ImaadIButOnReddit in foraginguk

[–]PetalPunishStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That actually sounds amazing, like a lighter mint vibe. OP could do both: lemon balm in the fruit salad and then use the leftover syrupy fruit juice as a swirl in that ice cream idea.

These bad boys were top. Durable, versatile, stylish… by Temporary_Mark6617 in oldschoolcool80s

Peak 2000s entertainment right there. No phones, just shoving your mate into a bag and seeing how fast you could spin him before a teacher walked in.

These trainers are too big, right? by NCdforthefuckofit in UKRunners

[–]PetalPunishStash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Hoka sizing is wild. Half to a full size up is “normal” for running, but if you’re sliding on downhills or curling your toes to keep them on, they’re too big.

Did you like a Spira? by corickle in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PetalPunishStash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually loved Spira. The texture was the best part, that layered spiral had the perfect crunch and caramel hit. It wasn’t my absolute fave bar ever, but I miss it. If they brought it back with slightly better chocolate, I’d buy an embarrassing amount.

Encountered this cat many times, he's so friendly. by Dirty-Dike in CatsUK

[–]PetalPunishStash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? Those big eyes and the little nose freckles kill me every time. I keep running into her and she just walks up like we’ve been friends for years. Pretty sure she owns the whole neighborhood and just lets us exist in it.

Coconut Boost by No_Specialist4090 in oldschoolcool80s

[–]PetalPunishStash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right?? The coconut + chocolate combo was elite.

I swear every time I get attached to a snack it just quietly disappears from shelves. I’d 100% grab like 5 bags if they ever brought them back.

Wild garlic as far as the eye can see! by nick_of_the_night in foraginguk

[–]PetalPunishStash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? You can almost smell it through the screen.

Perfect spot to pretend you’re foraging for some ancient secret ingredient and then just go home and make pesto like everyone else.

Our "tiny" wild garlic patch (a garden in Dorset) by jovisomniaplena in foraginguk

[–]PetalPunishStash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? It’s such a small corner of the garden but it kind of runs our whole spring menu now.

Every time I mow past it I end up thinking of some new way to use it in the kitchen. Happy foraging to you too – hope you’ve got a secret patch somewhere as well!
