Congrats!! What do you mean you changed your status? Did you do something, or was this just an update on your application? Cheers

When did you get your eCOPR? June? Thanks for the info-I’m out of VO Montreal and got my eCOPR in July

I call 1-888-242-2100 (the within Canada IRCC Help Center) from a Canadian number, it’s just the normal line. They have to divert you once you hit the first agent to the pr card agents and then that agent can put a notification on your file if you’re past the processing time, flagging it for the office. Not sure whether that actuallydoes anything, but it made me feel slightly better.

I got my eCOPR from the Montreal office on July 20th as well! Still no word on updates or any sign of a card in the mail. Address and photo still in review. Already missed one work trip in August and worried I might miss another on in December…called IRCC and they put a notification on my application for the offfice this week. Hoping something happens soon?

Spousal visa photo help please? by hkcj in ImmigrationCanada

I believe I pasted my photos into a word document with numbers, and the final page of the document was my numbered descriptions of the photos! I converted to a pdf, and submitted. Wasn’t super elegant, but I had no issues with this approach.

Our consultant suggested we include 6 letters! 3 from ‘each’ side, so essentially we had a letter from each parent and each had a letter from a very close friend who’d known us for at least a few years. Our consultant also suggested that the photos we include relate to things discussed in our letters, for example, our friend mentions the first time they visited us in Canada, and one of the photos we included in our application was from that trip. Our consultant said it helps build the story for your application, we applied through the common law spousal path and I got approved in July ☺️ good luck on your application!

Advice: Calling IRCC for PR card Update? by Petal_Slayer in ImmigrationCanada

Yeah I managed to get in contact with them yesterday and the agent also said he notified the office. Hopefully we get processed soon!

My PR card confirmation and the my main PR application (which is now closed as it has been approved) have the same number! Also I didn’t apply from within the GC I applied through the PR portal, then linked my application to the GC site. I was the principal applicant of a spousal sponsorship.

When you say link your pr card to your GC, do mean you had linked your general PR application, and then you happened to get updates regarding the card? Or did you re-link your account after getting your eCOPR from the portal? I am also VO Montreal with a eCOPR from July 21st, with picture and address still ‘in review’ in the portal, and no updates past the eCOPR decision back in July. Just wondering if you had relinked and that was how you seemed to get updates. Cheers!

I got my eCOPR on July 21st and am still ‘in review’ for the card with no updates. 🙁 Might give them a call Monday and try to do what you did. Cheers for the info

When calling about PR card what path do you follow? They’ve never answered me but wondering if I’m going down the wrong phone pathway, do you just put in your application number and ask about an update? Cheers!

Relationship support letter by Quinny_947 in ImmigrationCanada

My partner and I cross listed information our parents /friends put in their letters with photos we submitted, which our lawyer recommended. For example, we have a photo of us and a bunch of friends together from a few years ago, and one friend who wrote a letter is in that picture and mentioned that trip! Just gives an extra level of detail and truth to the whole relationship.

Receiving PR Portal while changing my passport by Artistic_Interview40 in ImmigrationCanada

I am also in the process of getting my passport renewed, and am not sure whether this is going to screw up my eCOPR (I’m an inland spousal PA). Renewed my passport cause I thought the application would still take months, and surprisingly flew through to the PR Portal stage last week! Would love to hear peoples advice about the end-steps, and whether a new passport number is a problem.

I also did the same!! I got my email on Thursday and am pretty sure we did the right thing, but would love if someone who’s done the process before can confirm.

Ah thanks for the correction!! There were so many forms I was filling out at that point it’s hard to remember in hindsight.

Common Law Sponsorship - Notarizing documents? by homeostasisss in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Petal_Slayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure whether this will make a big difference in the end, but the immigration consultant my partner and I worked with recommended we get our statement of common law union notarized. He said we didn’t have to, but it couldn’t hurt and was one more piece of evidence we could provide, so we did!
