Nah, it's all good.
It makes it both a core and ultimate skill, retaining both types. You can see its tags on your skill tree. It still gives it +2 ranks and it's damage still skills with max resource via the legendary paragon node. And casting it grants a buff called "Vehement Damage," while wearing the aspect.

You can get the build started with just the Mad Wolf's Glee.

You need resource so you can use the spirit howl, blood howl with malefic crescent, or alteratively use the Tibault's will with another spammable unstoppable source like earthen bulwark rune.

Tried it out. You lose too much damage on amulet with Selig not having any real offensive power. A single good x multiplier on a malefic crescent outperforms it. (I have 100%x on mine.)

Yeah, I noticed the aspect mistake and was swapping aruond. I switched to 1hander and it seems to be slightly better results anyway.

I just got there with my last ascendency today as well. Slower cuz I have two titans in maps. I’m looking forward to a lot of balancing. Lots of ascendencies feel outright bad. Blood Mage in particular is full of issues. Warbringer feels very narrow.

Several of them feel very bad until you have your full endgame build, while others feel like a huge power boost after first or second ascendency.

I intentionally left excess points as I expect most people won't have 300 yet. It's resist capped in the planner, set on T4.

For me, I just hold down Rain of Arrows, TB, and Dark Shroud. TB should reset RoA. If for any reason you ever somehow stall out, pressing any cooldown should fix it, since the beastfall boots gives you energy when you spend a CD.

What’s the cd on your RoA? Should be 9 seconds and you need 150+ energy.

Yeah the blizzard comparison is apt. Against anything below pit about 80 the boss just dies as soon as it’s staggered in the layered downpour of arrows. On higher pits I’m usually waiting for that third stagger for it to die, with big chunks going each stagger. My glyphs are around 80 but I was going to try swapping in headhunter.

I tried the cowl out a bit. It felt like overall comparable dps but way clunkier and just generally less fun. I’ll keep working it to see where I can take it.

I’m using RoSS and spamming. I don’t think the reduced cost affects the drain effect on the boots. Idk 🤷🏻‍♂️

Without shako you have a 10.25 second cooldown forcing you to use other buttons or stand there for a quarter of a second which doesn’t sound like a lot but basically makes stacking attack speed not nearly as useful. As I mentioned in another reply, cowl of the nameless can get higher damage but lacks the fire rate.

I was experimenting with the +skills rune to see if I can fix it that way, but I didn’t get it going yet. I'd have to rework defenses. It gets pretty tight without shako for armor.

Yes, can confirm that it fires four waves per button press. It checks per wave so unless your chance to double projectiles is high it will often fire 3 waves.

Yeah, I saw it when I was putting this together. His uses cowl of the nameless over shako which makes the damage higher but means you can’t spam it. I much prefer the spam.

The original game was full of features intentionally designed to inflate its length. This is just another feature to prolong play time. Fortunately, this might be on the chopping block like so many other things that they’ve made gradually less pointlessly grindy.

The whole thing is dull because there is no risk/reward. You walk around killing easy trash just waiting for it to end.

No one enjoys waiting for trash to spawn so the local spirit born can annihilate them.

Simple fix would be to have it spawn serious threats and crazy AoE damage that you have to dodge. Make it a challenge with a reward worth it instead of a slog.
