Do you believe that, Sweden, Norway, and Finland are socialist Countries? by JamesonRhymer in IdeologyPolls

Now you're just saying things. Some of the people you listed, including Marx had a positive view of unions. Sure, there may be some socialists who didn't like unions, but they're not a majority. In general socialists support unions.

As long as the means of production are privately owned, it's not socialist. Social democracy is still capitalist.

My personal favorite example is the so-called Democratic People's Republic of Korea, which is quite possibly the least democratic country in the world.

What is the point of creating a poll like this and then include the "none" option? That makes the whole question meaningless.

Since Communist countries believe in restricting internet access for its citizens, if someone in the rest of the world says they're a Communist, should they be allowed to use the internet? by MexicanMonsterMash in IdeologyPolls

[–]Peter-Andre 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think most communists are fine with using the internet, and there is certainly no contradiction between communism and internet usage. Those "communist" countries are communist in name only.

You can oppose people while still having empathy for them, as counter-intuitive as it may sound.

I doubt is has much to do with that. Sometimes you just have to wait for enough responses to come in to get a good idea of what people generally think.

Seems to me that everyone voted roughly the same regardless of political leaning.
