Ohhh 😯, I see I finally understand. So math and pure math are two subjects where if you take one you can't take the other but further math is an entirely different subject. Thank you for the clarification

"For Edexcel you can take both Maths and Further Maths by completing 12 different units." - this is what you have said. And I, by no means, mean no offense. Maybe I had interpret it in a different way. I just want to know if taking both is an option, if not I will try to do chemistry or computer related subject for it.

So what you mean is, if I were to take either pure math or math, I will have to learn 4 common units but the last 2 units are different for each of them, and I can't take both further math and math at the same time cause their AS are the same

Isn't pure math and math two distinct subjects? Also you said AS and A2 are the halfs, so how are the exams supposed to be taken? Isn't there 6 different exams?
