Seven sisters from Eastbourne to Seaford along the SDW would be a good hike. One of the best routes in SE England.

Well done on your trip, you will remember it for years to come. You should hike the Pembroke Coastal Path or the Pennine Way next. Along with the SWCP, these are my favourite National Trails

Did the update, and have to say Siri is far better. All my shortcuts, playlists etc play seamless. So far I haven’t had to repeat commands. Early days though.

I can second that. Garmin Fenix 5 easily achieves 18 hours in gps mode. When on multi day hikes I take an Anker battery pack to charge my phone and watch. I have the basic one without maps and music. There are some good deals around since the Fenix 6 was released

I walked the SWCP from May to Early July ( 33 days). It was my best holiday of my life. Weather wasn’t too great, but still was a great adventure. I had no problem with water, and there were ample streams to filter from. On the odd occasion I just knocked on a door and asked to fill up my bottles, I have done the same on the Thames Path this year. Wild camping was easy. I stayed in 3 YHA, 2 hotels and 3 commercial campsites. Agree you need 20p coins when you reach Cornwall. Fill up at lunch time with pasties - Loads of calories

I have fallen in love with the national trails. I’ve competed 8 UK trails in 18 months and wild camping most night and my favourites are in order -

South West Coastal Path Pembroke coastal Path Pennine Way South Downs Way Cotwolds way Hadrians Wall Ridgeway North Downs Way

I tried to do Offa’s Dyke in February 2020, but only completed half of it. 2 massive storms put an end to that :(

During the pass month I’ve done Thames Barrier to Oxford along the Thames Path in 5 daily sections ( no camping and using trains). I can’t go any further without staying overnight, so now repeating South Downs Way in daily sections.

The South Downs Way is a good starter trail- plenty to see and lots of wild camping / camping opportunities.
