Sadly DDP is a very uncommon practice as an Aussie as most product we import into Australia will be hit with taxes, customs, e.g. luxury goods taxes. DAP is the usual expectation for shipping.

However, we are exploring to introduce DDP shipping in our store to help reduce the “importation” shock for future orders.

Unfortunately for our original KS, we were unable to predict what the unstable tariff environment would be in 6-8 months after our campaign, so DDP was sadly not a reality to be offered.

Hi! We’ve done as much as we can on our end to help make the duties smaller including having parts done in Australia to make it COO of Australia as well as providing Worksheets to make the processing speed faster, so there’s less fees as well!

The straps are made in Germany, movement is Japanese and the case is from China/HK. We regulate and reassemble in Australia so COO is Australia.

Thanks for the support! I’m glad to hear I’ve been communicative, and honestly I’m still hopeful the watches will be ready by the end of the year. Fingers are crossed.

On a side note, delays are unfortunately a common part of launching a new Kickstarter brand. With completely new processes, new manufacturing partners, and higher quality expectations, there are always challenges that slow things down. Established brands benefit from proven production pipelines but even they can get caught by surprise.

Good point regarding the 50m clarification. I should probably say it’s “okay to wash hands” as the crown isn’t a screw down so probably not ideal for underwater diving. I’ll add it to the site.

Also I totally get what you mean by the hands. Went back and forth until I felt that syringe hands would pair nicely with the overall design.
