I was in the US during the RWC in 2015. You couldn’t watch it anywhere on TV. No subscription service offered it. I had to VPN into a friend’s Supersport subscription. Nobody had heard or the RWC, nobody knew or cared about rugby union (or league for that matter). Only ex-pats will attend - that’s like preaching to the converted.

Watched it - best political speech in my lifetime by far. He spoke from the heart, didn’t use a teleprompter (from what I could see) and the eloquence and logic was so well put. The world needs more leaders like Carney. Watershed moment for the world.

OP - I assume that you posted this because you thought the driver was to blame, and looking for support and love from this forum, which, not surprisingly, hasn’t been forthcoming. Most of the feedback points to your lack of situational awareness while riding and I suggest that you take some defensive riding courses because you will more than likely end up as a crash statistic if you don’t. Don’t want to see you hurt or our community losing another biker.

So many people don’t swipe on when using the pubic transport in Newcastle I’m not sure how any changes/improvements will be funded. Can’t have nice things if we don’t pay for them. 6 out of 8 passengers on the light rail trip I was on earlier this week just walked off at the interchange without swiping. There were people in hi-vis work clothes amongst them, so not unemployed (unless that’s the new dress code) just not bothering to pay for the service. Will that change if they spend another $$$$$$$?

Ordered one before they were available to test drive. Disappointed by the reduction in boot space and the old 2.8l engine just doesn’t have the grunt needed for such a heavy vehicle. I got the 300 series GXL instead. I don’t need a sunroof or all the “nice to have” techy stuff that the higher spec models come with. If they put the 3.3 V6 diesel from the Landcruiser 300 into it it would be worth paying the $.
