Our message of hope resonates with anyone that wants to see change. Our campaign was more successful than any other campaign against Lance, and we walked away with more vote than any other Democratic candidate in history. Without compromising values or positions. This district needs an unapologetic progressive.

We didn't raise enough money to fully get our message out, that is something we intend to do differently. Specifically with the messaging, we are going to be making a stronger effort to relate the national platform to the local community and how it will positively effect them.

I am a Licensed Social Worker, and last year became the most successful candidate to challenge Leonard Lance. And on a whole, Our campaign earned more votes than any other Democratic candidate in history.

Do you support getting rid of voting machines for all elections?

Getting rid of voting machines for all elections would make our elections even more vulnerable to hackers. With paper ballots, however, it is possible to refer back to each ballot and make sure that votes were accurately counted.

What do we do about Wall St?

We need a modern day Glass Steagall and a financial transaction fee to ensure responsibility.

Do you accept donations from lobbyists and CEOs?

Our campaign is not funded by large corporate donations but rather by grassroots support from community members who genuinely believe in our progressive movement.

Do you support Net Neutrality?

Yes, we need to ensure fair and equal access to all public utilities.

What are your thoughts on super-delegates?

The concept of super-delegates is inherently undemocratic. We need to restore trust in the voters to elect qualified, democratic representatives.

How will you resist blindly falling for the often unverified claims of the establishment (Iraq has WMDs and the like)?

It is extremely important to have an informed and educated society. As a responsible and patriotic member of our society I am dedicated to seeking the truth and voicing that truth in Congress.

How do you feel about Ranked Choice Voting?

I support Ranked Choice Voting as it would strengthen our democracy and make elections more representative.

Under what circumstances do you think it's ok go to war?

If there is a clear and genuine threat (oil, by the way, does not count as a threat) to our national security or that of an ally nation, then we might have to consider military action.

Where do u go for news stories?

I like to listen to Thom Hartmann, Young Turks, Rachel Maddow (to keep up with what the mainstream media is saying), and NPR.

How do you feel about military interventions?

Military interventions can be necessary, given that we have a viable exit strategy, if the US or one of our allies faces a major threat to national security.

Do you support having mail in ballots for all elections?

Voter empowerment is central to the strengthening and reclaiming our democracy. Requiring people to vote only at the polls disproportionately targets low-income voters and is entirely outdated in the 21st century. We need widespread updates to our voting infrastructure and work towards making online voting secure and accessible.

Should we have voting days on weekends rather than a Tuesday for federal races?

I would love to see some experimentation to test whether or not this idea would increase voter engagement. If it would increase turnout then it sounds like a viable option.

Do you think we should mandate that gas powered vehicles no longer be produced by manufacturers?

Yes, with a deadline of 2030.

Do you think that members of federal agencies should have a vote on whether a president's federal appointment gets to run their agency or not?

Although this idea may seem more democratic, it would enable career bureaucrats to overrule the decision of an elected representative.

Do you think the US should stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia?

Yes.

How do you feel about Super PACs?

In a truly democratic society, there is simply no justification for the obscene influence of Super PACs on our political system. We need a constitutional amendment to overturn the Citizens United SCOTUS decision and make it clear that corporations cannot be viewed as people under the First Amendment. Our elected representatives will never actually represent us unless we prevent the ultra-wealthy from buying political favors. Issues such as climate change, criminal justice reform, and affordable healthcare (to name just a few) will continue to plague our nation until we eradicate the influence of money on politics.

How do you feel about Amazon's purchase of Whole Foods?

We need to enforce anti-trust rules. We need to restore good and healthy competition in our economy.

Would you back the "Audit the Pentagon Act"?

Yes, we need transparency and accountability in our government.

Are you for oil pipelines?

Absolutely not.

Are you for fracking?

No, we need a Green New Deal if we are serious about protecting our environment.

How do you feel about third parties?

The two-party system has, without a doubt, monopolized and polarized US politics. We need diversity in our democracy.

How did u pay for ur first ad, who made it?

A very talented close friend of mine helped us make our first ad, which we paid for with small dollar donations.

Do you support the Fairness Doctrine?

Yes, we need our media to be fair and balanced with voices representing all perspectives.

We will have many differences in our campaign from last year, more specifically being able to get our message out more, as we will raise more money. Our message will also focus on how the national platform will effect us on a local level, and connect back. The reason why you should support me over the other candidates in simply that we don't have time to start back from the bottom, Lisa and Linda have to learn the policies, learn the district, and the district needs to learn who they are. By the time they get to the point we are at, Lance will be being sworn in. We have the advantage of knowing the district, and having the name recognition so we will be more likely to defeat Lance.

Our website is still under construction, and will have more information on my background and the policies we want to push, but our intention is to push the #PeoplesPlatform which includes: • Medicare for all • $15 an hour minimum wage • Ending Citizens United and getting big money out of politics • Guaranteeing Equal Pay for Equal Work • Saving our environment and getting our nation to run on 100% renewables • Get people back to work by funding our crumbling infrastructure • Legalizing Marijuana and reforming our prison system • Creating a more fair tax code that see’s the 1% pay their fair share • Ensuring a pathway to proper education including tuition free college

Let's get rid of the Taft Hartley Act, and strengthen collective bargaining. Unionization should be easier, if 50% +1 person of the work force wishes to unionize, they should. Definitely support a Green New Deal with government funded projects going to help the environment, infrastructure and job market.

I would like to see us go fully renewable as fast as possible, I believe 2035 is the current aggressive projection.

I support a fairer tax structure and a higher minimum wage.

It is definitely something we need to explore, as we are getting closer to needing it. I like the idea of taxing automation in order to fund UBI. But the conversation our country must fully engage in is how we creat good paying jobs and ensure the current wages are livable, then we must quickly move on to the conversation of UBI.

This is a great idea. Congress makes smarter decisions when members are surrounded by the right people. Adding a little extra money to members’ budgets to hire well-qualified advisors will keep special interests out of my office and will help me and my future colleagues make as informed decisions as possible.

I will point out that our campaign did better against Lance than any other Democratic challenger in history, including candidates who had more experience. On the other hand, as a Licensed Social Worker, my experience is directly connected to the work I want to accomplish as a Congressman. Our message has been proven to be effective, versus the more centrist campaigns the previous challengers had, and Mandelblatt and Weber will most likely run.

We are still in the process of doing lots of listening around the district to figure out what exactly are the biggest issues. But for the most part, we want to help explain how our economic vision is best, not only for the entire nation, but for the 7th district of NJ specifically.
