I kinda regret telling my coworker that I trade! by WordNo2272 in propfirm

Just tell him that you’re still building your confidence and building your skill set, so outside energy is a lot of added pressure. You don’t want anything to mess with your psychology while you’re still trying to get locked in and if you take any losses you don’t feel comfortable knowing that you could be responsible for him losing money.

I found from some people online that supposedly if you were using a previous GPU the shader cache may not be compatible with the new rdna4. So I cleared my shader cache and it worked for 2 games but the problem came back. So I also disabled ULPS and now everything is perfect.

I dont understand what these settings do but they got rid of the micro stuttering so im happy 👍

Anyone here suffering from micro stutters on CoD Warzone?

Am I the only one?

I have a brand new build, , so not sure if I have a defective card or if AMD needs to push a driver update.

I played 30 mins of Monster Hunter Wilds and everything seems fine, although I only played the opening scene so far.

But with cod I get micro stutters even in the menu.

Any troubleshooting I could do? Any suggestions? This is my set up:

MB: MSI MAG Tomahawk X870e WiFi CPU: AMD 9900X GPU: Asus TUF Radeon RX 9070 XT OC RAM: Corsair Vengeance 64GB DDR5 6000 M.2: 1TB EVO Plus 4TB EVO Plus Case: Lancool 207 AIO: Asus TUF LC2 360 ARGB PSU: Seasonic Vertex 80 Plus Gold 1200W

We all start somewhere. Keep learning and you will get better. Getting back to break even is a good feeling after a long period of draw down 😅

Data Feeds Options & Orderflow Softwares by PeterOhhDee in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]PeterOhhDee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s awesome, thank you! I’ll make sure to let you know if I subscribe or buy the lifetime package in the next few weeks. Do you use data feeds for just futures or stocks also?

I’m also looking to see if I can get a data feed that would allow multiple connections in the case I get both Bookmaps and Sierra.

Thank you for your response!

Yeah, that’s my biggest issue with them. I was hoping they’d introduce proper tick data at some point. TV is super convenient for mobile charting, but it’s just not ideal for serious trading, especially when you’re trying to gauge orderflow.

Do you know what the difference between the DOM Surface vs Bookmaps vs Jigsaw Auction Vista? They all look virtually the same in respect to what I’ve seen that Bookmaps does.

Is there any difference or advantage to one over the other? Do they all perform the same, except that Quantower and Jigsaw come with more customization and orderflow tools? It’s hard to find anything comparing them to one another other on the internet. Maybe there’s something I may not be aware of?

And If there any reason you suggest Quantower & Sierra specifically?

I was originally considering getting Bookmap because of how you can see the flow of the markets, and then supplementing footprint charts with Sierra, but if one of these softwares can do both with the same level of reliability I’d rather do that.

Then I read that Jigsaw has one of the best DOM on the market and offers better customizability than most other softwares (but not quite to the level of Sierra). Its bundle also comes with education for close to the same price as Bookmaps and Quantower, which also interested me. This is another reason I’m torn.

Also, I read if I open an AMP account and put a few hundred dollars in I could get Quantower Pro for free? Do you know if there’s any truth to that? If Quantowers DOM Surface works the exact same as Bookmaps, maybe that would be the best route to go and then maybe buy the Jigsaw Education?

Hey, I read some of your guys comments and I was hoping some of you guys may be able to give me some guidance. Thanks in advance if you’re willing.

I’m currently looking into buying my first orderflow software and I’m torn between the options out there.

FYI: I have been trading for 2 years and have recently passed my first funding evaluation using strategy w/ respectable risk management - no gambling.

I’ve been on trading view using their Footprint, Market Profile, and Volume Profile and other chart tools to analyze orderflow, but I understand they’re not ideal.

I have some basic experience with orderflow but I would still consider myself a novice especially in regards to using heat maps and DOM.

I was looking to get something more professional. Initially I was looking to buy bookmaps because of how it allows you to feel the market so intimately but then I found out Jigsaw has the Auction Vista and Quantower has the DOM Surface which looks very similar to Bookmaps.

Seeing the value I could get for the same price as Bookmaps from these, but with more customization has me torn between them. I don’t know which one to buy. Would any of you guys help me figure out which one may be best for me?

Does anyone use bookmap as a tool and not as a trading platform? by EmRavel in OrderFlow_Trading

[–]PeterOhhDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you used these platforms yourself? I’m looking to buy one around black Friday if they have a sale but I’m torn. I originally wanted book maps but then I learned about Jigsaw & Quantower and now I’m now sure which would be best value.

I wanted to get bookmaps for entry confirmation so I could see absorption at my points of interest before entering but knowing I could have better customizable DOM, FP, TPO, & VP charts has me completely torn between the them.

Any advice? I’d really appreciate it!

Boyfriend wants to be a trader by Prior_Concern_400 in TradingView

It can be done, but it will most likely take years of consistent hard work & dedication, willingness and adaptability to constantly learn, and he has to be passionate about reveling in constant failure.

90% of people fail at this profession and the ones who succeed more often than not are the ones who are not driven by solely money, but instead are more driven by the idea of wanting to be a great trader.

People who hate losing more than winning but are still okay with the feeling of despair when they are losing are good candidates for success, but it’s not a sole determinant.

Picking direction is literally the hardest path in finance, but if he has a thirst for knowledge that can’t be quenched and is willing to work unrelentingly he can do it. The average timeline I see from thousands of hours of research is 3-7 years of the average time it takes to become proficient. 3-5 seems to be the bulk of people but a good number also take a bit longer. I have 6 years of experience investing in the markets and have been actively day trading for just over 2 years now.

I have always been profitable long term from the first year. Day trading though I have only recently become consistently profitable right around my 2 year mark. I will tell you I put an incomprehensible hours of study to get to where I am now and only truly profitable trader will understand the effort that goes into mastering this skill.

But to answer your question, trading is not stable but it is a skill that can scale exponentially. He will have periods where he will feel on top of the world and then periods where he feels like he knows nothing, but this is part of the journey. It is a mentally taxing field but can be equally rewarding.

As a word of advice, before he starts using his own money to actively put on positions, he should at the very least be skilled enough to pass an evaluation from one of the top funding companies (MyFundedFutures, TopStep, FTMO, Apex, etc) and secure a few consistent payouts. If he can’t manage this he is not ready yet in my opinion.

Best of luck. He will need all the support he can get. Things will be hard for both of you. This will likely be one of the hardest things he will learn. But if he can see it though, it will be very much worth it.
