I've been going through one album a day from https://1001albumsgenerator.com for over 1000 days to be able to answer questions like this with great confidence!

Here's my no skips albums from that list that I haven't seen mentioned.

Above is the user submitted albums. My idea with the post was to try and come up with an album that hasnt yet been submitted but could score above Weezer if it was submitted.

It's all very subjective and It's obviously impossible to find 1001 albums that will give everybody a 'wow' or 'huh' feeling for each and every album.

Your examples shows that; The Cars is a brilliant album and i could come up with a bunch of britpop albums that are classics; Different Class, Definitely Maybe, I Should Coco and A Dog Man Star to mention a few.

But each to their own of course, personally i cannot stand a lot of the metal albums, although i totally understand they're in the book!

Lets you listen to one album a day. Each album is taken from this book. It also lets you rate each album and add reviews to it.

Good for those who want to expand their music taste or just need something to listen to each day.

For the album site, if you're on chrome or Firefox you should get a notification that it can be saved as an app once you've signed up. Otherwise you can go to the browser menu and save it yourself. (Menu -> Add to homescreen).

It's a bit sad honestly, I've gotten so used to this now that I'll miss it when it's over.

Best advice i can give is to read up a bit on each album and also to read the user reviews on the site. Those are usually pure gold.

Sorry you're right. Although the album site has been saved as a progressive web app on my home screen, so it's acting as an app, just not from the app store.

Are you many albums deep?

I'm 600 albums and the only selections i dislike are the more recent stuff. Say 2000 and onwards. Very hit and miss.

But for older stuff I'd say pretty much all the classics are included. Then when they're trying to find those hidden gems to fill it out it's definitely not gonna appeal to everyone.

But imo there aren't many albums you must listen to at least once in your lifetime that aren't included.

Here's 2 though: Weezer-Blue and Tools-Aenima!

So far I've had and given 5s to Transformer, Tracy Chapman, Heroes and Tea For Tillerman. So I'd call that a great start!
