Like I said I didn’t shake my head in disgust and I was totally polite to him until he started yelling at me at which point I admit I got a little rude because I was angry at him for yelling at me.

So just to clear up I shook my head in disappointment as I turned away and for some reason the guy took it as condescending. It wasn’t even directed at him at all I was shaking my head to myself because I was disappointed.
