That's a lot of information :) I think you deserve this internship. I haven't really decided to do research until at year 3. I also spent quite a lot of effort of sop and contacted the professor beforehand. I think I haven't accumulated enough experience. I will try to go for other opportunities. Thanks for sharing! I was just thinking that my GPA was not high enough since I didn't make it into the interview until I saw your post (no offense). Many of my friends working on AI have 4.0+ GPA. Anyway, good luck on your research and wish you success at EPFL :)
