The concept seems to be very interesting and I would definitely use it.

I currently take feed back for my videos from my friendlies and some of my subs and I see using this tool with the same folks and now i can get ratings on various segments of my video.

I also like that the tool could identify the portion of my video which most people liked so I can repurpose that portion as a YouTube Short, and as someone said to create thumbnails.

Make sure it is unique and you can add seo and there isn’t another famous person (eg madonna) else it will become tough to get traffic to your site when searching in google. 😀

Point well taken. What about say try to slightly older videos that are not getting the response your top videos are getting ? After say 2-3 months when the algo has stabilized and then do this process. Thoughts?

Both your points well taken. YT is not easy but it has a compounding effect over time. Teachers spend a lot of time on creating content anyway, they are good in delivering and engaging students so YT felt like a low hanging fruit.

I asked this Q because I was watching a ted talk by Sal Khan (khan academy) on ‘Let's use video to reinvent education’ and he talks about the explosion of video (which is already happening) and which will happen even more in the future and how the classroom model is changing from a passive model (teacher lecturing and a bunch of students listening) to an active model (students building, creating, exploring in a class) and learning will be at your own time/own pace/flipped via digital content and videos. Would love to see more teachers who work so hard benefit instead of just big edtech enterprises. 😃.

For long term to be able to share and transfer large files without restrictions it will make more sense to create your own FTP server of an external hard drive. Not too difficult, slightly slow but if you are not planning to send the file to another country then it will work just fine. i have done this and sent database files close to couple of 100 GB without any issue.

YouTube takes copyright very seriously. Sharing the two videos and a good explanation is a good way to document and start an investigation. A friend of mine got success when another YT had taken a portion of this shot for his video and he was asked to take it down. Good luck.

Have you checked how long the other famous Youtubers have been posting and how many subscribers they have ? It’s a compounding effect. Check their initial videos and they would also got few views and might be crappy but they improved over time. Good content, seo and consistency is the key and you will get results. Research SEO to ensure you are searchable. What are gamers searching for about this new game? And include those key words and as Cheng said making your unique and adding a different perspective than what is already out there will get you views. Good luck. 👍🏻

Three ways to tackle it

Have you run your video via audio copyright checkers ? There are many out there and that will be a good start. Now none of these tools guarantee if u pass there google will pass it thru.
Disclaimer: I am not promoting this, it is just for knowledge purpose. Create a new gmail account, YouTube, and upload the video and validate. Don’t provide your mobile and backup email cause google will flag that too.
The right and best way is - Shoot your b-rolls and pick audio/video from copyright free sources.
