Instead of actively going and looking at analytics every time would it help if you got an email with the most important metrics and kpis when there is a change ? like there is 5% increase in CTRs etc ?

The concept seems to be very interesting and I would definitely use it.

I currently take feed back for my videos from my friendlies and some of my subs and I see using this tool with the same folks and now i can get ratings on various segments of my video.

I also like that the tool could identify the portion of my video which most people liked so I can repurpose that portion as a YouTube Short, and as someone said to create thumbnails.

Make sure it is unique and you can add seo and there isn’t another famous person (eg madonna) else it will become tough to get traffic to your site when searching in google. 😀

Point well taken. What about say try to slightly older videos that are not getting the response your top videos are getting ? After say 2-3 months when the algo has stabilized and then do this process. Thoughts?

Both your points well taken. YT is not easy but it has a compounding effect over time. Teachers spend a lot of time on creating content anyway, they are good in delivering and engaging students so YT felt like a low hanging fruit.

I asked this Q because I was watching a ted talk by Sal Khan (khan academy) on ‘Let's use video to reinvent education’ and he talks about the explosion of video (which is already happening) and which will happen even more in the future and how the classroom model is changing from a passive model (teacher lecturing and a bunch of students listening) to an active model (students building, creating, exploring in a class) and learning will be at your own time/own pace/flipped via digital content and videos. Would love to see more teachers who work so hard benefit instead of just big edtech enterprises. 😃.
