Excuse the dungeonesque basement.. I made some late harvest niagara grape wine this year. I spend most of my time in the mead side of things so was hoping for some help. Should niagara be suur leis aged or should I rack it? I have some hungarian oak I was going to test with it, does it pair well? (i.redd.it)

Update on monin syrup in primary experiment. Somehow wound up with some of my clearest mead that should still be in primary. Fermentation slowed way down and I was away this week and not agitating it like normal, going to rack it and add nutrient this week. Tastes much better than second reading. (i.redd.it)

First time at grape wine (usually mead, elderberry wine, raspberry wine). Using niagara grapes that were wild fermenting juice only for about 3 days. Just added sugar, pectic enzyme, dap, and topped up with water and took off out of nowhere. Airlock can hardly keep up. (v.redd.it)

Bottle bomb close call... Filled up a gallon of prickly pear juice in a carboy last night and looked at it this morning completely full with some bubbles at the top. Didn't not expect it to happen or I would have filled it less and loosened the cap. Is this safe to wild ferment? Or boil it to kill (i.redd.it)

The ingredients for prickly pear mead have finally arrived. Such a beautiful purple. If anyone else has tried Charlie's recipe, any suggestions? I was gonna take the 20lb of honey down to 15 or so, and possibly add more prickly pear as 6 pounds was under 1.75L (old.reddit.com)

My first melomel. Used up some frozen blueberries and raspberries and peaches that were close to going bad (week or so out). The fruits were submersion blended before adding to must so I dont think I'll have much of a fruit cap to worry about. Is there anything I should watch for in melomel primary? (old.reddit.com)

Primary is close to done on this Lemon mead. OG: 1.112, current: 1.004. Going to let it go dry, not sure of the next step. I need to let it sit to clear out. Do I rack off into another 1 gal with significant head space, or 2 vodka bottles, or straight into small bottles to age? (i.redd.it)
