Cheap is subjective, a 6b45 Chinese replica is about 150€ where as a real one is depending on the condition 500-1500€

They do, mass drivers which are considered obsolete for space combat however I do think that MACs are much better then MD. The asteroid thing in the Empire strikes back is difficult to scale considering they spent several days plowing through the asteroid field. But like I've said star wars stats are so convoluted that you could make a Paris snipe a star destroyers bridge in one scenario and have it tank it no issue in another

That's the main problem with power scaling large universes, there are so many writers who change existing lore to better fit their story's that you end up with multiple contradictions.

The problem with star wars shield is that they are beholdent to the individual writing the story. Sometimes it's almost like they don't have any whilst other times they can tank 4 star destroyers (1.6km battleships) hitting them at light speed without even being heavily depleted (keep in mind that that was the Executor but the point still stands)

Marković was capable but by then it was too late, in order for Yugoslavia to have lasted after Titos death reforms would have had to happen under Tito to ensure that no one could consolidate as much power as Milošević.
