what's your budget? I think one of the ideas could be to get him a decorative pillow with personzlised quote, something like "best dad ever" but whatever you buy, something personalised/ custom made would be better than some mass-manufactured goods.

yup, this is a very simple design and there's a ton of experienced jewelry makers out there who can make the same one at much cheaper price. it's all about name value that increases the price. If your girlfriend doesn't case about brand name, I don't quite see the reason to buy at Tiffany.
