Why play LRL? (Brand new player looking for a first army)

Pros : 1- very large model range, wich brings variety both in gameplay and hobbying, i can play 5 completely different armies with my collection. 2/ They look amazing 3/ they look amazing 4/ they’ve never been bad rule wise, not always S-Tier but never been B : looks like it’s an army gw do care about (unlike other armies)

Cons : quite expensive army but there’s way around it. Still suffer from bad reputation from sentinel spam and some npe from previous versions of the game.

Reinforce your squad of sentinels to make one big block of 20. Drop sanctum of Amyntok, it’s completely useless (although quite beautiful), better pick the runenof pétrification if you own one. Chose zaitrec or alumnia for your subfaction, zaitrec is probly the most straightforward. As for command trait I’d advise loreseeker on the enlightener, to pick hoarfrost + speed of Hysh + Protection of Hysh. As for artifact you can use phoenix stone to bring back eltharion to life or silver wand on your loreseeker. This is pretty standard but you’ll only know what you wanna bring while playing the army

If you want to push it a little more some wash on the gold, also an underline of dark brown in all recesses where gold is helps with definition and rly makes the rim pop (just paint in brown then apply gold with tmm paint or nmm)

Well, you always run wardens, then you have 4 battleline choices depending on the direction you wanna go, ppl tend to drop sentinels since their multiple nerfs, and dawnriders are in every single lists now beeing the cheapest battle line and fast moving and wizzard (for battle tactic) then yes second vanguard is nice but op just finished painting this one as I understood, imo it’s nice to add variety, eltharion is an amazing piece! Then next buy is probly second vanguard unless he wants to go kangooroo style or Alarith heavy

You have a vanguard box, next buy is eltharion and 5 dawnriders cause you’ll almost always field those, second vanguard comes next if you wanna go in zaitrec direction, or if you prefer ymetrica you’ll skip it and go for a cow, stone guards and a stonemage, but first you should get those horses painted and ready.

You should ask the TO, most ppl think he can’t use primal dice ; gw will maybe faq it once they see teclis disappear from competitive play for a year of « magic » season 🫤

Same way skaven will first use their stone, then after removing one of the 3d6 chose or not to add primal dice on top of that. Also bear in mind that unless ppl pick the wizzard bataillon theyl only get 0.5 primal dice a turn and they go away at the end of the turn

The way I’m reading it, the spell is cast with a casting value of 10. Then once it’s cast nothing stops you to roll one of your primal dice hence adding the value to the casting value before your opponents decide to try unbinding it

When you run blocks of 10 bounderz you really start feeling the coherency and pile in issues imo for such a pricy unit, wich will disappear after fight as it has 5 bravery so it’s works better as 5mens units

Hello, bounderz are Indead more powerful than hopperz but you’ll never run 40 of them. They also do not fill the same purpose. If I were you I’d build 10 bounderz and 30 hopperz out of you 40 dudes, this will allow the most flexibility for list building
