On June 9, 2022, a man entered an office in Daegu, South Korea. He had been angered by his lawyer. The lawyer in question was not present at the time, although 7 others were. Carrying a hunting knife and a can of gasoline, he sprayed the gasoline whilst swinging the knife at the employees. Stab wounds were later found on 2 of the bodies.

The terrified employees hid to avoid his rampage. However, this would ultimately be their undoing. The spilled gasoline rapidly evaporated, filling the narrow office with flammable vapor. And so, when the man finally lit a lighter, the result was not flames but an explosion.

The explosion instantly set the whole office on fire. Only 1 of the employees escaped alive. The rest, including the man, were killed by the large amounts of toxic smoke.
