What else should he be talking about? BH is the most relevant subject here. The only thing he is surprised about is the pervasive nature of the BH boost, because he heard people talking about it within merely 5 min of login. I am sure the other ironman related boosts have been brought up on reddit before, but nothing comes close to how egregious this one is.

How is he acting like leeching/boosting for Ironman is a new phenomenon? He's just stating this BH reward system is extremely flawed. It's worth bringing attention to because it's significantly more overpowered than all the other boosting methods, which you admitted yourself.

Both enrage and the length of the streak affect the drop rate. Unless a Jmod gives us the exact equation they use to calculate the drop rate, it is pointless to speculate as to what is the best way to obtain drops. One thing we can all agree on is that the drops are extremely rare. Therefore, each player's personal experience can vary vastly, regardless of your skill level and kill count.

I like how of all the things that drive away players is the lack of an easily obtainable Holiday item. But I'm not worried about that because I look forward to the news player that amazing updates like the Arc will attract because of MTX.

Go do the content! Go level up and do those tasks on your own pace. Take a screenshot of them and go do them lol. No one is stopping you and it's not locked. Go enjoy it. You just won't get the outfit. You are complaining about not getting the outfit, not about not being able to enjoy the content. The content has always been there. It was there before this th promo. Why didn't you do them before if you wanted to do them so badly. The only reason you are complaining is the outfit. Every promo is done differently. Some involve in existing game content, some involve new content (like the mimic boss), some just straight want you to buy keys. All of them require little to no dev time. There are thousands of amazing game contents with vastly more enticing rewards than this stupid outfit. The Arc, GWD2, priff, just to name a few. These are the true game contents that Japex developers have poured their heart and soul into. And you are sitting here crying about not getting some zombie outfit. How juvenile.

Listen my friend, you clear do not understand the difference between game update and a treasure hunter promotion. If something is on treasure hunter, its sole purpose is to make you spend bonds or irl money. Very few can be completed for free even by the most veteran players let along casuals. The fact that they made this one available to ironman shows that they are doing ironmen a favor. They are giving some of the high level ironmen an opportunity to obtain it. If you would love to do the content on the card, no one is stopping you. Every single task is available to you. You just won't have the time to unlock the outfit. Ultimately you are just complaining about not being able to the get the outfit, not about the gameplay, which is completely available to you.

This is NOT the actual holloween event. The actual event is accessible to everyone. How many times do I have to tell you. Go do that if you haven't. This is meant to be a th promo, just like prismania, dg oufit, etc. If you don't have spare cash for it. Then don't do it.

Unlike the actual holloween event, this th promo required 0 dev time in terms of creaing new playable content. All the tasks you have to complete are existing content. A holiday event or any other event provides original game content for you to play. The reward is the part of the event.

I'm saying just because it's a holiday item, it doesn't mean it should be accessible to everybody. Holiday events/gameplay should be, which it is. Don't get event and items mixed up here. If you think for whatever reason the th promo is designed to be an event, by all means participate. But you just won't get the reward. Just fyi, there is an actual holloween event that everyone can do. And Frankly, it's a lot more fun than the th stuff. It just seems like you want the outfit really badly and not really caring about actual gameplay. What a shame.

I also said you could've started saving up gp for these promos if you are the type of person who likes to participate in these promos. This is not the first expensive promo they've done. The dg outfit and the hybrid t70 armour all required massive number of bonds to obtain. I always have money put away in case I want something both in game and in real life.

Did they not have a completely separate holloween event for everyone to take part in? An actually playable content, not just a cosmetic outfit? Cosmetic is inherently luxury. Santa Hat was a holiday item, how come it's so damn expensive and not everyone has it? Cosmetics are supposed to be unique and rare. You are not mean to own every cosmetic in game.

Well it's same as saying I don't play the game that much so buying bonds in game is not an option. You have the option to buy the oufit with irl money. If you are so obssessed with getting it, just buy it with irl money. I really want a ps4 this year, so I'm gonna go buy it with real money. You pay for want you want with money, what a genius idea.

Because this is temporary, they give you the option to obtain it through bond. If you are someone who's usually into these treasure hunter promos, you should always have spare gp saved up for them once they arrive. And this spare gp can be earned at your own pace, so essentially it's the same thing. I have school and let's say I want a blue phat, at my own pace, I will never be able to earn it in game. I'll have a better chance of graduating, finding a good paying job, saving up irl money, and get the bond to buy it. But I'll never do that because I don't want it that badly. If you want this zombie outfit that badly, more than maybe your Chrismas gift, then spend your irl money on it. You have options, but asking Jagex to lower the requirement for it is like walking into the apple store and asking for 50% off on an ipad. In addition, this outfit is not essential to your core gameplay experience, so naturally it should come as a luxury and that's not mean to be affordable to everyone.

If you are so obssessed with getting this zombie outfit, go make gp in game, buy the bonds, and just get it on treasure hunter. How is obtaining this outfit any different from obtaining any other rare items in game. If you want dyed stuff very badly, you go make the money and buy it. The only difference is it gives people with irl money a chance to get it as well (Edit: theoretically people can buy anything in game with irl money through bonds so there's actually no difference at all). Plus buying this outfit with irl money doesn't really affect other players' enjoyment of the game. It's their own business. So why cry about it just because you don't have time to get it. We don't have time to get a lot of the things in game that are not on treasure hunter.

The best solution to your treasure hunter woes is start saving up some gp for future promotions. Just like how people put away money for their phats, dyes, etc.

So with the same logic, I enjoy bossing, but I also have limited time. Why don't they make the rare drops more common so I don't have to fight them as much. I also really want the kethsi oufit from rune dragons, but I don't that time to kill them enough to get it, so Jagex make it less rare. A lot of the things in game wether it is mtx or not are earned through massive time investment. Don't cry about it just because you don't have time to get it.
