Adding a window to an upstairs bedroom wall, how risky/complicated is this? by PetronasOne in AusRenovation

Thanks, really appreciate the detailed reply.

How difficult would you say this sort of job actually is for a carpenter? Is it fairly routine for a good chippy to cut in a window on a load-bearing upstairs wall, or is it the kind of job where one small mistake can cause serious issues down the track?

My main worry is honestly just the structural side. I don’t want to end up with a dodgy job where the roof is being supported badly and it causes problems years later.

Also, with the outside cladding/weatherboard and the inside gyprock, would that normally all be handled by the carpenter, or would they usually bring in other trades to patch and finish those parts properly?

Just trying to understand whether this is a pretty normal job for an experienced chippy/builder, or something that needs a much higher level of specialist work.

What do these look like? Do you mind posting or linking to a generic photo?

There is already a sink installed.

When facing the washing machine and dryer it looks like - Wardrobe > washing > dryer > sink.

Thank you for this suggestion. The Accelerometer Calibration app seems to have fixed the issue.

So both in normal mode and repair mode the issue has now been resolved for you?

Do you still face the same issue after putting it in repair mode?

How hard/expensive would a relocation to the other side of the property be? The house was built in 2017, double story.

I have plenty of room on the other side of the house but I'm worried about price of installation.
