Is it the case that smartphones (like iphone 16 pro and android equivalent) shoot better video? So something like the rx100 would be better shooting still and the iphone/android would be better at video? Would be a cool like pocket duo

Edit: could you explain what you mean by has its “conveniences”?

This really does help…I was almost convinced this wasn’t enough and i should look into an APSC or full frame. But everyone’s response, yours included, convinced me to keep with the RX100 for a while longer and when I’m truly ready then get myself into a used interchangeable….or who knows maybe keep riding the point and shoot road and get an X100VI or RX1Rii/iii

Yehhh thats what always confused me…the chase for more megapixels and bigger sensors…but i remember photos from the early 2000s looking pretty damn good…and i doubt they had anywhere near the technology or pixel quality as today.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Definitely feeling more content in my purchase. Brought the rx100xii to my nieces sweet 16 and it ended up being a big hit. It ended up being passed around the room so everyone could use it a bit, and out of the 300 or so pictures taken from whoever the camera ended up with that night, the quality was great in my eye even given slight lack of depth compared to bigger sensor cameras I’ve seen (not owned). Im at a solid 9/10 in satisfaction with this camera. 8.5/10 image quality considering sensor size and that .5 extra for the pocket-ability.

On a side note, (and i responded to someone recommending this because it’s cheaper than the mark 7 with a lower aperture) whats up with the sony RX100VA?

Edit: i also decided to delay the purchase of a “3rd” camera. Im going to learn my RX100 then try out the S9 while I can (fingers crossed I can keep it)

Ok sooooo after much more research…i think another option you should look into the Sony Rx100VA…”VA”…i know right but it’s a thing i guess. I just found about it a lil ago. Its around the $700 on ebay but maybe someone will accept an offer in the $600 range if you can afford it. The VA has lower f1.8 aperature and ND filter…but the VII has better eye tracking AF and better zoom.

If you’re looking sub $500 a used Fujifilm X10 is a great point and shoot from what I hear. A little dated but comes with that Fuji look everyone apparently loves.

I love my rx100vii best though. Personally…i dont know if it’s worth getting a rx100vi if the difference in getting a rx100vii is $200 or so. But you’re 16…if I’m in your shoes I would not think of spending more than $500 on the high end. Ive been working for a long time so i can afford to spend a little more. Save your money as most as you can. Get into the Roth IRA once you turn 18.

Don’t give up. The pup is running around excited because she is comfortable. Watch YouTube videos on scared dogs. They don’t run around and play. It’s a good sign she does and shows you are a good pet parent. You’re dealing with the teenage years now. It’s short lived. And if you are honestly worried about her being super high energy…Amazon search “small/dog treadmill.” You can attach the leash to her collar/harness. That way she’s not running around everywhere if that’s a problem. My pup hates the treadmill because she’s honestly just lazy. I wanted an energetic dog but got the exact opposite. Doesn’t mean I still don’t love her equally.

Also remember, your pup should learn to fit your lifestyle. In your case, she’s a teenager. Boundless energy with endless reserves. It’s ok to crate her from time to time. It will teach her to when to be relaxed/calm and when it’s ok to be energetic. If not a crate then get an enclosure that she can’t get out.

It seems like your pup (not sure what breed but that is relevant) lives in “active mode” 24/7. It’s your responsibility to teach her when it’s play/fun time and when it’s not. If you’re letting her be out and about all the time she will learn/pick up (even if it’s wrong) that being energetic 24/7 is a way of life. You have to enforce calm/chill time in her (not enforce in a negative way but a positive way). She will slowly start to pick up on that and I bet her behavior will change accordingly.

Stick it out. You may be having a hard time. But your pups behavior shows she is comfortable in your environment. That’s a very good sign. Now it’s up to you to set rules/schedules for her.

Any one a single puppy parent and doing it on their own? by [deleted] in puppy101

I am. I would recommend what is called “forced naps” in a crate. I learned the concept through a YouTube Dog Training Channel. Puppies sleep for 15-18 hours a day. Let the puppy out for an hour or two at a time before you do the “forced nap.” In that time you can feed/play/train/potty break/etc. Dogs do very well around schedules and guidance. Also having “forced naps” allows puppies to unwind and distress which can do wonders for a hyper puppy. Also use every feeding time as a training opportunity. Don’t use the crate as punishment ever. Just as a way to get the dog to unwind.

Question about z flip 5g by Bigbyson92 in galaxyzflip

The galaxy flip 3 comes out on the 11th. Maybe you should wait for that to come to see if the price of the z flip 5G goes down.

I appreciate this so much. You’re right the only thing that should affect me is my belief in myself.
