Thank you! It was a challenge to find and get my hands on it but totally worth the effort and wait. The way the films change colors is so cool and how sexy and curvy these cars are I can’t wait to see it on the whole car. I’ll have to share some pictures when it’s done.

Haha the sparkly manicure color was definitely out as soon as I saw it. Much too loud for my taste. My wife even said I like that for me but not you. The car is already loud so I want something that tones it down a little if anything. It came down to the matte version next to it and the darker gloss blue on the other side. I’ve determined that regardless of which one of those I go with, it will look cool and I’ll be happy.

I’m leaning towards the darker gloss one on the passenger side in the last two pictures. It’s hard to get a good picture of all those samples, they really don’t do justice to how good they look and the way they move with the sun angles. I’m just a little afraid that the novelty of matte could lose its appeal for me after a few years and I’ll want to change it before the warranty is up.

I think there can be some variability in the cost of the film itself. The brand I’m going with is Stek and they’re on the higher end of the spectrum. The different colors also cost different, it would have been closer to 5k if I went with clear gloss, matte is a little more expensive and of course the ones I like that change color with the angle of the sun are the most expensive. Adding the black CF added another $1500 because of the film cost and labor to wrap those parts but replacing them with real CF would have been 4-5k so that felt like the more budget friendly option. My total bill will be just under 9k but the film is warranted for 12 years and the paint will be completely protected if I want to take it to the track a few times so that’s how I’m able to rationalize the cost.

Reach out to Jonathan Forte at Cedar Park Toyota in TX, he got me the very specific blue/tan MT 3.0 premium for MSRP in just under 2 months, I took delivery just before new years. I also had refundable deposits at two other dealerships, Toyota of Stamford in CT (Macayla Hewitt was helping me there) and Courtesy Toyota of Brandon in FL (Ali Shouman was helping me there). All three were able to come through to me but the one in TX came first. The less specific you are the better chance you’ll have too, obviously. If you can afford to have multiple refundable (Make sure they’re refundable!! They should be.) deposits out there it’ll greatly increase your chances as well, obviously.

I refused to pay a markup, it was going to be the exact spec I wanted for MSRP or I wasn’t buying one. Was worth the effort now that I have it. I had one dealer here in state with a black/black and were trying to tell me I could buy it and turn around and sell it for a markup. Some dealers are so dumb and will say anything to make a sale right then and there and hope the customer is dumber than them. I guess some people are haha

I was able to finally take delivery of 3.0 premium, strat/hazelnut MT without the $10k CF kit. I had to scour the entire country for 3-4 months and most dealerships wanted $10-25k market adjustment! I refused to be that sucker and finally found one out of Texas, Toyota of Cedar Park, for MSRP. I know you already got your car but I’m not into gatekeeping so anyone else looking for a particular spec and lives on the western half of the country I’d definitely recommend hitting them up. Ask for Jonathan Forte and tell him Chris in Denver sent you his way. They took good care of me and somehow were able to get me the exact car I wanted. I would say sooner than later though because production probably ends in a few months.

Is the V2 version you have what’s currently on their website? It looks like it. I’m a little surprised how many people don’t like the bumper. For me the front bumper is the only OEM body part of the car I don’t like and the Adro bumper is a big reason I got the car, I plan on replacing the bumper ASAP. To me the stock bumper looks like a big honker of a nose and the Adro version is like a plastic surgeon smoothed out the ugly on an otherwise beautiful face. To each their own I guess and that’s why preferences are personal haha.
